I fell again. But thanks for a middle school classmate having a heart attack two weeks ago...I'm clean again, 3 days this time! He posted pics. I don't like being sick. So I am helping myself to not go thru that. Thanks to all who post withdrawals and side effects.

Oh I'm in my 40's and was considered a social smoker...that's still a smoker!

Hiya coco, it's great to see ya jump back on your quit, so well done for getting 3 days done. It's never easy but you know ya can do it and let's help make this the real deal. If you feel like lighting up please shout for help. Can you pinpoint anything in particular that trips ya up. It would help us to help you with a bit of back up. Can I ask if you're cold turkey or do you have any nrt.

Cold turkey. I want to quit. I did find myself around smokers yesterday, I didn't light up. It's just hard. But seeing my classmate, wow. That makes it a little easier.

Really sorry to hear about your classmate, it's very hard for you right now. The only thing is smoking won't make any situation better but we fool ourselves into thinking it will. It gives us the best possible chance for a healthier future if we can stay quit. When something like that happens, I guess it makes us realise how precious life is. I hope your friend is making a good recovery and good luck with your quit. You can do it😊x

You are super nice. He does seem to be doing a good recovery and posting the horrible photos had affected a few ppl. In a good way. He realizes he was blessed and had made changes. And is now sharing the news. I do work out, so now when I want a puff I am taking a short brisk walk. Thanks for your encouragement. And good job to you for putting them down!

I'm happy to hear that he's one of the lucky ones and is making a good recovery. Like your idea of having a short brisk walk👍🏼

There are some breathing techniques on the right under pinned posts to help a craving pass if you can't get out for your walk, worth a try.

I imagine another look at the horrible pics will deter you anyway😩

Welcome back! Way to go! The last time I "fell" I waited way too long to get back to quitting! Keep in touch with us! and keep up the good work!

Many thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I am so glad I found this site! Good luck to everyone!

Good morning Coco☕️ Good call on your part to stop cigarettes! Have you watched some of this sites videos on what smoking does to our insides. Omg. I watched it last night. Scared me to death but gave me lots of reasons not to light up

Have a good smokefree day🌷

I've not, but seeing what it did to my friend was super scary. And he's a year younger than me. I don't want to do that to my family, friends, nor self. Scared straight? Perhaps! Any secrets you have to share? :)
