Morning Gary. I too have tried on numerous occasions smoking over 20 a day for 44 years. I have found this site very useful, being a mine of information and giving me a laugh. Although I haven't stopped due to a very stressfull time having cancer treatment I have cut down to about 3 a day and this the lovely people on this site have given me so much encouragement that I have now managed to do this for 8 days. Hopefully the last few will go soon. Keep messaging and someone will give you that boost to carry on. Good luck this time. Sue
welcome back Gary, So nice to have you join us again. Bet Pete will be happy when he finds out. Like Emjay says think that you had a practice run. this time is the real thing.
Catch up later.

Hey Garry, welcome back
Have a think about where you feel it went wrong for you last time and use your past experience to help put a good decent strategy in place for this time around.
Good to hear that you are still into your cycling, I remember you pedalling to Brighton last year, are you cycling for the same charity?
Lovely to hear from you
Thanks EmJay

Dear Garry
Never stop trying to give up. I am feeleing positive and now nearly 8 weeks since I stopped smoking. This is my third serious attempt and am using Champix again, but only one tablet a day. I felt so bad about myself when I started smoking again and it took all my courage to give it another go.
This time I am having weekly monitoring with my practice nurse, have started running and am treating myself at every opportunity!
Best of luck
Chrissy
