Morning Gary. I too have tried on numerous occasions smoking over 20 a day for 44 years. I have found this site very useful, being a mine of information and giving me a laugh. Although I haven't stopped due to a very stressfull time having cancer treatment I have cut down to about 3 a day and this the lovely people on this site have given me so much encouragement that I have now managed to do this for 8 days. Hopefully the last few will go soon. Keep messaging and someone will give you that boost to carry on. Good luck this time. Sue :)

Hey Garry, welcome back :-)

Have a think about where you feel it went wrong for you last time and use your past experience to help put a good decent strategy in place for this time around.

Good to hear that you are still into your cycling, I remember you pedalling to Brighton last year, are you cycling for the same charity? :-)

Lovely to hear from you :D

Dear Garry

Never stop trying to give up. I am feeleing positive and now nearly 8 weeks since I stopped smoking. This is my third serious attempt and am using Champix again, but only one tablet a day. I felt so bad about myself when I started smoking again and it took all my courage to give it another go.

This time I am having weekly monitoring with my practice nurse, have started running and am treating myself at every opportunity!

Best of luck

Chrissy
