With quitting for 6 days I decided me and the kids were gonna have a treat from the money I have saved so we went out to a local restaurant and had a family dinner. Everything tasted different and I even tried strawberries for the first time and liked them 😀

Andy, am just wandering if you could give this to your daughter :P :P :D :D :D huh, thats sorted her out eh :o :D :D

Yes, you will be able to actually taste and smell things now :) :) I know of a couple of members on here, who actually went off choc after they had quit :D :D Your taste and smell may be a bit erratic for the next few days, but it will settle down :)

Andy, I know that you smell lovely now :) and not stinking of flippin fags :o but have you noticed any difference in your teeth ? has your tongue got pinker ? does your hair feel softer ? and what about your health :o I know its early days for you yet, but some of us seem to get these benefits sooner than others :) :)

Take care now Andy and of course them lovely kids ya got there too :) :)

See's ya soon :)

Andy, thats magic gal, just loving it :) :)

As for the coughing and phlegm side of things, we are all different and takes our bodies different times to do things :o I myself went mad on my rowing machine the first week I quit and that seemed to get rid of it :) but, that worked for me :o :)

Your doing just fine :) walking 30 miles a week is flippin excellent exercise Andy :) :) plus running after them kids too eh :D :D

Lol luckily I don't really have to run after them as much anymore but because I don't drive me and my kids walk pretty much everywhere so all our bodies are use to that bit of excercise. The colder weather will be in soon so I think that will help bring the cough on 😀

As for any other type of excercise I do so much housework that keeps me busy as I'm in the middle of de-nicotining the house as my sense of smell has gotten too good and the slightest smell around the house sets me off with a sick feeling so that's working to my advantage lol

Thanks for your "progress report"! It is encouraging to all of us! BTW: Since you mentioned it, I just looked at my tongue in the mirror -- it's actually a health pink -- may be a first since I was a child!

Just had some strawberry yogurt, that should help.

BTW: The other night I said to one of my friends: "I'm feeling so dam# healthy I hardly recognize myself!"

Will, may I ask if you have noticed any changes :o well, apart from your pink tongue that is :) :)

Well, my gray hair isn't any darker (yet) ...

'have gained some weight but that's typical.

My eye specialist told me yesterday that my glaucoma symptoms are remarkably better. He 'said that my blood is more oxygenated and that may help -- inter-ocular pressure and BP are down , too.

I certainly feel more alert -- even when physically tired. Can't say I'm sleeping better -- but I am well rested despite less sleep.

Used to have constant sinus headaches but have maybe had one slight one in past 8 weeks.

'Can't say that my sense of smell is a whole lot better -- as many report -- but somewhat better and sense of taste has improved.,

I go swimming after work every other day -- which is quite a contrast to my going home to take a nap!

Wish I'd done this years ago!!

Only downside is that I'm now addicted to chewing gum -- and am shocked at how much gum costs -- but a whole lot less than tobacco!
