Hiya lunar and welcome to quit support😊

Well done on 3 days quit and yes it's really hard when you feel this bad. Your body is screaming out for a cig BUT please don't give in. It will get easier but right now you are adjusting to not having 4000 plus chemicals going into your body and that's why you feel so bad. Everyone is different and there's no 2 quits the same. Patches are very good and it really will get easier as every day smoke free is a step in the right direction. Have a look on the right to see symptoms of recovery and you'll see these are very common side effects you are suffering from. Hang in there, get as much rest as you can and drink plenty of water to flush out all the toxins. Hopefully you'll feel a little better tomorrow. You are doing the best thing for your health and although it's difficult to see at the moment, these feelings will pass honestly. Be proud of yourself and know that it will all be worth it to have your freedom from smoking👍🏼👏🏼😊x

Hey hey Lunar73 just try to calm down a bit eh :) :) for one thing, a big warm welcome to our lovely quit support community and a MASSIVE great big well done to you for making the possible best decision that you have made in your life :) and thats to quit the smokes :) :)

For the symptoms you are having, there just the norm :) although your still getting nicotine in your body, your body is no longer getting those other 4.000 toxins that you get with smoking cigs eh :) :) After the first week, you should feel a lot better and it usually gets easier for you :)

Lunar, you say your on patches, these are flippin excellent :) BUT, sometimes we need a little bit more help eh :o maybe try another NRT product to help you through those flippin hard times eh :) orrrrrrr, if you havnt already, look to the right of your post and you will see Pinned Posts - try the breathing exercise 1 :) and maybe 3 tooooo, cos they are excellent :) :) and they really do help :) :)

As Briarwood has said, you have a supperrrrr quit going on :) soooo, you stick at it and flippin FIGHT it :) :)

Pete :)

Hi lunar, welcome 😊I too have up with patches and wasn't sure I would last a day but here I am 16months later and about £2000 in my pocket (I have large pockets). I promise you it ain't easy but it will get easier and it is soooo worth it. My fitness levels have increased (no I don't take regular exercise but no longer out of breath) I have more money for treats, I don't smell like an old unwashed ashtray, my skin and hair look great, food tastes better, my sense of smell has retuned but the main one for me is how delighted my friends and family are that I have finally quit and that to me makes all those side effects worth it 😊😊😊

Please do not give up coz I want to share that feeling with all my friends on here, old and new😀😀sounds cheesy I know but actually writing that bit down about my friends and family made me tearful but in a warm glowing way and I think we should all have that feeling 😳😄😄

hiya lunar and a big warm welcome to quit support :) :)

Well done on making the decision to quit smoking :) :) ..These first days are tough, as your body has a lot of adjusting to do.

It may not seem as if it will get better, but honestly, none of the symptoms tend to last for a long/ :) :)

The others have given you some great advice.. keep this site close by as we all know just how hard it can be, but we have all got there with the support of each other :) :)

Believe in your ability to be a non smoker :) :)

Hi lunar, unfortunately your feelings are all very normal when we start our quit but these will pass and you will feel better, just give it a little time and don't be too hard on yourself. I turned into a horrible person at the start of my quit and really didn't like the way I was behaving. Our bodies go through a huge amount of changes and this is the reason for it. Use your vape whenever you need it and things will turn a corner for the better. Hang in there coz you're doing a brilliant job, well done😊x
