Hi guys just wanted to say I'm new on here and I have been 4 days without a cigarette since I started vaping. I had tried the Vape pen in the past with only the tobacco flavour that came with it and I didn't rate it. I have since been re introduced to them with all the flavours and mechanical mods available.
I intend to drop the nicotine down over the week eventually to 0% nicotine and just Vape for fun.
But yeah. 4 days strong!

Hiya Danny and welcome to this lovely friendly quit support 😃
Congrats on 4 days smoke free, well done to you 😃
Lots of members have had very successful quits with the ecig and my advice would be to slowly drop your nic when you feel ready. Any problems just shout coz there's always someone around to help 😃 x
Aup Danny, a big warm welcome to our lovely quit support community and a big well done to you for making that initial decision to quit the smokes
I use an e-cig to help me, I have the strawberry flavour yes I know what you mean about the tobacco flavour ones, just didnt do anything for me either
Danny, your doing extremely well, 4 days smoke free but please dont push it, just hang on until you know your ready to drop down to zero nicotine, its early days yet, but if you know you can do it, then youuuuu go for it pal I'm only saying this, cos that first week is sooo important on your quit journey and can determine whether you stay quit or not as in, you have to get used to your alternative to cigs and be happy with it, if you see what I mean
Good luck Danny and if you need any help what so ever, just you get on here and we will try to help you
PS, is your quit date Thursday 19th March cos then i can add you to the wall of Winners and sort your Winners badge out for you
Congratulations, I quit e-cigs Thursday (been off tobacco for years now) go us!
Some advice I have just put in another thread:
My advice with the e-cig is to be careful not to get on the slope of increasing your dosage/regular usage. I started using it more and more some time ago which made me more dependent. If that does happen, just make an effort to cut back down again.
Don't hurry to quit the e-cig (unless your Dr. suggests you do) too quickly. The one week aim is very bold/brave! If this method works for you then wonderful, but if it doesn't you can take your time with the e-cig over some weeks. Better to be on the e-cig longer than to put yourself in a cold turkey situation which you might have difficulty fighting.
I used menthol for some time and now I have quit the e-cig I find that a peppermint tea helps with some of the withdrawal! I'm lying to my subconscious, so very deceitful! But it's a white lie for my own good. So it might help you to think of a way you might get the same benefit from a flavor when you get down to 0.
I plan to gradually cut back on the nicotine. I have just become part of the "cloud chaser" community so I will need to drop my nicotine as I will be vaping much more. Eventually down to 0% and just enjoy the flavours
