I was vaping 50mg salt based nicotine all day, every day for about a year now. And I’d smoke hookah, vape regular ejuice for about 3 years prior to that. It’s been a whole week now since I’ve used any nicotine and I am honestly very surprised with how severe the withdrawal symptoms have been. I have read multiple posts on this site, out of fear, where people claim to be having chest pains, dizziness, nausea, etc. I’m suspecting that these people were probably smoking cigarettes, I’ve never smoked them myself, and I’m curious if anyone else has gone through these symptoms without smoking them. Also hopefully if this is answered it can help out the millions of high school kids that have gotten addicted to these salt based vapes if and when they try to quit. Thank you!

Hookah tobacco (also known as waterpipe tobacco, maassel, shisha, narghile, or argileh) is a type of combustible tobacco that is smoked with a hookah (waterpipe).
Hookah (waterpipe) smoke exposes people to the addictive chemical nicotine and contains many of the same toxic chemicals that are in cigarette smoke In fact, research shows that waterpipe smokers may absorb even more of the harmful chemicals found in cigarette smoke because smoking sessions are typically longer. A typical one-hour hookah session involves inhaling 100–200 times the volume of smoke from a single cigarette
Waterpipe smokers are at risk for the same kind of diseases caused by cigarette smoking and may absorb even more toxic chemicals like carbon monoxide than cigarette smokers.
Hi there ☺ great that you've made it through week 1.
People have been very creative at finding ways to take nicotine. Salt vape, other vapes, snuff, cigarettes, pipes etc etc
They're all rubbish for our health. Good riddance to the lot of it. Feel so sad to see people taking up vaping who didn't smoke before. There is no place for nicotine in a normal healthy life. It's not cool, just sad.
Freedom awaits! ☺
The withdrawal symptoms seem to vary from one person to the next. Regardless, withdrawal from an addiction is withdrawal and is associated with symptoms no matter what the addictive substance or behavior is.
Welcome! Unfortunately the withdrawals are going to be there we all go through it but it will go away it is mind over matter. Loving that profile pic of Snoop Dogg (D O double g) lol just hang in there it really does get easier...join a gym to keep your mind off of it, drink a lot of water...congrats on your quit date...the support you will get here will really help you...
Do they have nicotine in them?
If they do, withdrawal will be the same as smokers is. 🌷
I was smoking a device called a Drop with 25mg nicotine salts. At first 1 hit inhaled would give me that nice light headed feeling and as time went on I realized I was hitting it about 5 times inhaled with almost no effect. I just recently stopped using it all together and have had this pounding headache for 2-3 days now, not being able to sleep and lower energy in general. Definitely not dehydration because I've taken note on how much water ive been drinking.

hey your quite date is my sobriety date (which is today!) I have 5 years sober today which I wanted to celebrate by quitting nic salts. I tried to quit smoking cigarettes 3 years ago on my 2 year sober birthday and made it 90 days, but ended up getting sucked back in. I was able to get off of tobacco with nic salts, but I'm about 2 hours in and this feels horrible. The withdrawal is so much more immediate than anything I've ever experienced before. Did you make it?

I started to try and quit vaping 50mg salt nic for about 2 weeks now. I've tried quitting before cold turkey and I've also tried quitting gradually but nothing worked. This time I'm quitting by switching from 50mg salts to putting 3% nic in my mod and I've got to say this time around it is working a lot better for me. Id recommend putting 3% nic in what ever mod you'er using, this way you're cutting out the salt nic addiction first which was the hardest part for me. Me along with 2 other friends are quitting this way and one of them has already been nic clean for 4 weeks. I strongly recommend switching from salt nics to a free base nic and lowering the nicotine content until you can go without it. I hope this helps because this has been working wonders for me and my friends trying to quit.
Oh yea I had been vaping disposable salt nicotine vapes for about 2 years now and im 21 years old. Quit this week (3 days ago) and I literally had to go to the hospital because i thought i was dying. I had a chest xray done and it came back completely normal. I had sharp pains when inhaling for 3 days, insane anxiety, as well as upped blood pressure along with random moments of extreme disorientation. But now on day 4 the chest pain has gone away for the most part and now ibjust randomly get a little nervous and dizzy. Im hoping as it leaves my system slowly this nightmare will end, but at least now im motivated to never smoke nicotine again.
I thought I would share my experience having been coming off nic salts in disposable form for the last few days... And because after searching the web I could find next to no accounts of coming off these, only websites selling them claiming to be the next best thing, and totally safe of course. 🤣
My opinion: THEY ARE PURE EVIL lol
I’ve come off vape a few times , a 15 yr habit of 10- 15 rolled cigarettes a day, and never experienced anything like the extreme withdrawal symptoms I’ve had this week. Flu like symptoms, feverish, body ache, disorientation, headaches, tight chest, cough, of course added to by the brain fog, sleep disruption etc etc... urgh
As an anxiety sufferer, after roughly 8 months on these things ( starting with 1 a week and escalating to 2 per week, occasionally 3) they also caused me the worst anxiety I’ve ever experienced to the point I very nearly had a breakdown.
All in all, with their enticing colours, tempting flavours, and being displayed on the counter in most newsagents, teenagers who have never smoked are getting interested in them - along with being highly moorish as there is no harshness etc, I think these will cause a lot of problems for people down the line.
Do feel good to have done it, hope these symptoms go soon. Would not recommend them to anyone, And never wish to go through that again....
I switched over to salt nic this year and by far it’s been an awful trip. I would constantly feel nauseous, anxious, and downright depressed everytime I hit my disposable salt nic vape. I finally decided I wanted out because I can’t stand feeling sick all the time. I finally made it through the toughest part of withdrawal with salt nic (extreme nausea and panic attacks) and now I’m in the starving and exhausted phase. I still feel like I’m dying but it definitely is less intense phase now haha. It has been hell trying to stop salt nic and even now I’m still warning my friends of the dangers of this type of nicotine. Very scary. Hope your doing better!
