Hiya Oxo, please don't beat yourself up about it, we are only human after all :)

Best thing is put it behind you and move forward :)

You can do it :) x

Hi oxo, don't worry, I did the same at the start of my quit. Old habits die hard!!

It made me realise how hard it is to stop and not to be complacent.

Just pick yourself up and dust yourself down and try and learn from the slip up.

I think it helped me by thinking I can't keep having these sneaky cigs if I want to quit as it rekindles the addiction and you end up going through the painful first few days again.

Good luck and stay strong

Kas

Sam, you havnt let anybody down but yourself :o But on saying that, please dont beat yourself up over it eh :o just think of it as a practice run to the real thing :) :)

try to think WHY !! WHAT made you take that first puff :o then try to think of a way you can counteract it, if it happens again :) :)

Hey oxopinkyblue, it was just a trial run, so now prepare yourself for the main event :) You can do it and we are all here for ya :)

Hi Oxo, As others have said, don't beat yourself up about it. You can't turn back time, so focus on the future. Reflect back on what was going on when you felt you needed a puff so that you can look for strategies for managing the same situations :) :)

Look at it as a practice run for the real thing :) :) . Not sure if you are using any NRT- If not, maybe this will help you get through the early days :)

Try reading Alan Carr's Easy way to quit smoking book as i does put things into prospective, just do a google search as it is available as a pdf free download

Move forward from here ..Good Luck :) :)

Sam, we are all different and are all in different circumstances :o so some of us need a bit more help than others, myself included :o

Hiya oxo :-)

Like others have said don't beat yourself up about it :-)

Just don't quit quitting, hoping the e cig does the trick for you, if not try something else :-)

As mister monky said we are all in different circumstances and what works for one might not work for another, just keep trying till you find out. Glolin mentioned Allen Carr, and reading that really helped me :-)

You have to bear with it as it doesn't flow well and can be a bit condescending at times but it did the trick for me :-)

Look forward to hearing how you get on

Sam, try practising saying NO :) as in '' no thank you I dont smoke ''

So if you meat a friend that smokes and they offer you one, you can say, no thank you I dont smoke any more :) :)

I tell you Sam, that is one hell of a lovely feeling :) :) xx

You can't undo it, so if possible learn from it, what were the triggers? Can you avoid them in furture or have an emergency plan.

Don't beat yourself up you most certainly don't need the added stress
