Hi Mdelsan and welcome to quit support :)

Sorry to hear you're getting discouraged but you are doing really well and X-ray and blood work is all good, so that's good news :)

It's a bit unsettling to get different reports and I understand that you want to feel better :)

Unfortunately when we stop smoking we think we will automatically feel better and sometimes it takes longer than we think it should :)

You really are doing the best possible thing for your health and it just might take a while before you feel the full benefits of this :)

Congratulations for 3 months quit :) it's a terrific achievement and hang in there for better days ahead, it will all be worth it :) x

Hiya Dee, sorry to hear you're not feeling too good :(

Our bodies go through an enormous amount of change when we quit and it really does take time to heal but I'm sending some healing hugs your way to help :)

It will put your mind at rest when you see your MD and don't dread going back coz you are doing the best thing you can for your health, so be proud of your achievement, well done :) x

Hi Mdelsan and welcome to our lovely quit community :)

A massive big well done to you for reaching 3 months on your quit journey :) :) your doing soooooo well, but like Briarwood says, we are all different and it takes some of us longer to reap the benefits of quitting smoking, but you will :) :)

Please dont get mad with yourself, cos you should feel proud of yourself :) maybe go and treat yourself to something nice with the money you have saved through not smoking :)

Mdelsan, stay strong now and it will get easier for you in no time, you see, just you keep looking forwards to those better days ahead :) :)

Take care now :)

Hi mdedlsan and welcome to quit support.

Try not to beat yourself up, you should be feeling very proud of yourself for quitting smoking :) :)

With having Asthma, quitting smoking is really important as over time this should help your SOB.

hang in there as it will get easier.

In regards to borderline PD, there is an anxiety support group on health unlocked that you may find beneficial.

All the very best....you are doing brilliantly :) :)

Hi Mdelsan, Stay strong and positive. Have you thought about more exercise to help the sob. I had my right lung removed just under 2 years ago, plus heart attack last May. I found myself short of breath. Reluctantly the cardio nurse mad me do exercises. Brilliant after 4 sessions over 4 weeks I felt much better with my breathing. I know if I go a few days without any exercise my sob comes back.

Have you asked your g.p. about if you have the best inhalers etc for your asthma. Worth a thought.

Take care. xx :)

Hi Mdelsan, you are most certainly doing the best thing that will benefit your health - stopping smoking :-)

Sometimes you cant see the wood for the trees but soon enough you will come to that clearing and see that the journey you have been through will have been worth it :-)
