Hi ya Fresher, a big welcome to this lovely quit site and a big well done to you for getting to day 12 quit
Hmmmm, as your name says, I suspect your smelling a lot fresher now you have quit smoking eh how lovely it is not to smell of smoke
Erm, I dont know whether you have looked on the righthand side of this page, but you will find pinned posts, they make interesting reading
See you soon, you keep up the good work, Pete
Hi Fresher - and a massive warm welcome to the site - it's so lovely to meet you and CONGRATULATIONS on reaching Day 12 - fantastic!
This site really does help to support you as you go through the recovery process, and everyone really is very friendly as well
I'm also using the e-cig and I really do believe that it has been the difference between success and failure to me, I am so happy to have not even wanted a cigarette since. I've had triggers and other problems, but I am getting through them and feeling so happy when I have - you just have to believe in yourself and what you want to achieve, a smoke free lifestyle
So well done you for stopping smoking and I'll look forward to hearing about how you are getting on!
Chrissie xx
Thanks for the welcome Pete and Chrissie and yes smelling a lot fresher
Hi Fresher, First of all welcome to our friendly community, Secondly well done on reaching 12 days smokefree, fantastic. Dont forget our community saying NOPE Not one puff ever. stay positive and just dont worry you will get there . We are all on here to help and support each other. xx
Thankyou so much jillygirl, I keep going off doing things then back on again reading posts, can't get nothing done for reading on here haha, but at least I'm not chuffing and after 30 years (I hate to say) that's something.
Well done fresher and welcome to this fab forum who all support one another you just pop on here anytime there will always be someone to help out with great advice, you have made the best decision ever for your body to stop and we all wish you well on this journey x
Welcome to the forum.I think you'll find a LOT of folk on here have quit really successfully (me included) using an ECig.Maybe Al (Pinkiezoom) might check in later and she's at about 3 months now.Main thing to remember is that it is absolutely possible to quit with an ECig and also to stay close to the site for a while just until you find your feet.Plenty folk around to offer help and encouragement if needs be.Make contingency plans for those days when it might be hard, decide on a plan of action for when you go out socialising without your cigs and other than that GOOD LUCK H x
Welcome Fresher, I'm pretty new here too, just a day or two. You've definitely come to the right place.
The support here is fantabulous!!!
I'm also vaping, 10 days since I had an analogue cig and I'm doing just fine!
As you've read through loads of posts you'll already know, helpful, friendly, non-judgemental, funny, caring support is here in bucketloads!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Fresher, welcome to this wonderful site. Sounds like you're doing great, well done. I'm 3 weeks on ecig and the terrific people on this site keep me going, it's brilliant. Wouldn't manage without them. It's a lot of fun and everyone helps each other. So welcome x
Oh yeah forgot to say you picked a good name, just remember how good you gonna smell now. It was one of the things I hated most about smoking - the smell. My hubby is still smoking so that's a reminder to me that I don't want to smell like that again! Well done to you x
Feeling very supported already and had an extremely stressful day and still smoke free yippee..... Although I did think I'd lost the plot at one point as I was having my e cig I covered it as I put it in my mouth as if I was lighting it and the wind was going to blow it out haha. I've had the breathlessness to and started with the sore mouth this morning and was great to hear it's quite normal after reading all your posts. X
Oh yes, I've done that on a windy day as well! Ha ha x
Hey Fresher, its lovely to hear your still with us gal
Ha ha ha ha I just love the way you said, you put your hand up to stop the wind from getting to your e-cig That is pure habit Fresher, thats the thing with packing up smoking, its not just mr nic we have to get rid of, its also the habit eh
Fresher your doing ever so well, you are you stay focused on WHY you want to quit eh
Speak soon, Pete
