Good morning all, I hope you all slept well. Saturday and time to enjoy the weekend. Anyone got any worries over quitting then call on here and shout. We will be at the ready to support and help you.
Meanwhile lets see how many reasons we can come up with for enjoyment as a non smoker.
Mine is being able to make and talk to new friends on here.

As you know I've struggled to see the good side of quitting but it has to be more money, and being able to walk very fast without getting cramp in my legs and being able to stomp up those hills without getting out of breath.
Hi Pete, hows day 6 going, are you gardening today?
Morning Jilly and everyone
I've got a family party this weekend and will enjoy NOT having to hide away from my two little grandchildren to smoke and then frantically cleaning my teeth and spraying myself with perfume to hide the smell - as if it ever did ha ha
Hi Jilly, it started out like that this morning. There is a bit of a fresh breeze but it's tooooo nice to stay in so I think that once I've had my lunch I'm off out on my bike. Yesterday turned out quite nice too so I went for a walk round the Head. Halfway round the sun came out and it was so hot I had to take my coat off.

Aup Andi, yeah could do with some of that sun up here tooooo cos we've got flippin grey clouds today Enjoy your bike ride Andi
Jillygirl, yep am in the garden today and a bit of pottering about toooooo
Been missing in action for a few days as my internet went down. Makes you realise how we rely on it. Just set up a new Router and I am back in the game. An old friend came to see me on Thursday and stayed the night. We sat up until 5.00 am drinking and I can honestly say the thought of a cigarette did not cross my mind. The hangover on Friday was horrendous and I will never drink again!!!!!!! I have 11 more days of full strength Champix and then 1 week of a reducing dose. I have saved a fortune and breathing better.
Well done KC for not succumbing to those fags - I'm thinking that your friend doesn't smoke anyway so you weren't tempted. Now, if I had a pound for every time I'd heard that other expression..........
So I went out on my bike. It was lovely but I seemed to have a bit of a headwind most of the time. I decided to just ride casually, avoid all hills, no pressure, it is early days this year after all. I got to the beach and saw some of the aftermath of the recent storms, a lot of clearing up has already been done. There were masses of people out, I think everyone is just stir crazy after the winter we've been having. I clocked 14.74 miles - 3 1/2 more than my last outing so happy with that.

Hi Emjay, wondering where you were - haven't seen much of you on here lately. I know someone else that likes a drink now and again, actually, now I think of it, it's a bit more than that.
How are the press-ups going? I've just worked out that you should have done 67 today.
My pt gave me a one month programme that I might follow while away which involves press-ups and squats. I really should because I don't want to throw away all my re-found fitness.
