I hope you all have a brill craving free, smoke free day
Hey Sue, its great to see ya gal
Am sorry that you've had a few stressful days gal but it sounds that your getting over them now eh and flippin good on ya Sue for keeping off the cigs Love and huggs heading your way gal take care now, and see ya soon eh
Very good morning to everyone this wacky Wednesday
Yes well talking of increased lung capacity since becoming a NON Smoker - I think I might be collecting FIRST PRIZE !! Mind you an asthmatic smoking 20 cigs a day for 33 years (or whatever) wasn't that smart !!!
Message for Sinfree - please write 100 times:
"I am so grateful for everything good in my life today"
Just want to wish everyone a great SMOKE FREE DAY & be POSITIVE - let the cravings in the front door and then kick their butts out the back door.
Best wishes
Jonathan

Good morning Jilly, Sue, Jonathan and everyone.

I just love Mutley.
Lovely to see you Sue, I missed you last week. I hope you're now settled into your new home and enjoying having a garden. Sorry about your brother troubles but at least you know he's still about. It's really spooky cos I was going to pm you today.
Jilly, hope you had a nice evening last night - and didn't eat too much!
Jonathan, how's that c25k going - that'll help increase the lung capacity - eventually.
I had a baptism by fire last night. It was running group and I knew I was going to get properly wet for the first time. We set off from the centre at 6 o'clock, had only got about 200 yards when the sky went dark and started flashing, then crashing and banging, then torrential rain. After about a mile it stopped - some of the group were trying to avoid the big puddles so I demonstrated that once you're wet you can just run and splash right through them - doesn't matter any more. The worst part was that it made your eyes sting so I need to buy a cap for next time.
Morning all Day 23!!!!!! I actually feel like a non smoker now. I'm feeling so much healthier already and my skin is starting to look so much better. Mind you I have been eating healthily so that probably helps. I don't know what it is about this quit but I'm finding it so much easier, (all my previous attempts are probably helping). I think it's like something Andi said...I've finally has a light bulb moment...lol! Anyway folks, I hope anyone who is strugggling doesn't give up, just keep going strong and remember what Jonathon says NOPE! Have a great smike free day everyone! Dawn xxx
Hi everyone,
It's great that your so positive Jonathan you've kicked nics butt right out the door, have a great NOPE day
That is spooky Andi I'm all settled now, just one carpet to get after christmas. Don't know how you managed to run in the thunder, i'm too scared of the lightening to do that I love Mutley as well, still watch it if it's on xx
That's brill Dawn your a winner stay positive, your doing this, have a great NOPE day xx
Happy Wednesday Everybody
This morning is flying past as fast as the week / year has so far
Sue, sorry to hear about your challenges with your brother. Good to hear that you never gave in and ended up smoking because as you know, it most definitely wouldn't have changed the situation for you. You've come so far and worked really hard to maintain your smokefree life. You're a true winner I've not spoken to you for a while, are you all settled in your happy new home now?
Hey Jonathan, keep up the momentum. You must be almost 3 months smokefree now, that's a whole quarter of a year You've definitely shown that you can come through the other side. Just keep your wits about you and remember that 'you can if you think you can'. You are doing brilliantly!
JillyGirl, is that the same tortoise that beat the hare? No wonder, razzing around on a bike! I love the way the tortoise won the race, against all odds. If we could all look at our lives, the choices we make etc I wonder who we think we would be... the hare "You snooze, you lose" or the tortoise, takes everything in his stride and got to where he wanted to be all at his own pace
Dawn, lovely to see that you've bounced right back. 5 more days and you put yourself in the "5 times more likely to stay quit" category. Keep on keeping on and you'll stay on the right track
Andi, congratulations on the baptism Did your eyes sting from the salt of your sweat or from your mascara? I'm hoping to pick my yoga back up, it's been a few weeks too many that I've allowed to pass now and I can feel a negative difference already from not doing it
Remember to stay positive everyone and if there's any thing we can help you out with, give us a shout.
Sin, we are here when you are ready
A fresh cup of tea anyone?
Hi Emjay. I don't think it was sweat as we'd only just started out and not even warmed up yet. My mascara's waterproof too - maybe it's my face cream. I started doing Ashtanga yoga a few weeks ago which is quite good. I don't do any practising in between though and must get some of the exercises so I can maybe practise when I go away next time.
I think that picture in the header is Sin on her bike, pushing up that hill, with me trying to catch her up (out of shot!). No chance on a bike - maybe next year, eh?
THANKS Emjay, Sue, Dawn & Andi
Yes - being very POSITIVE about all this has put me on a different track or if you like in a different place.
Very much with you Dawn - I think it is an enormous relief to be free from that yuk, horrible addiction and not always having to think about the next fix.
Jonathan

I have just been to my diabetes nurse this morning . I am borderline so can control it with diet. (hopefully). I must admit it felt really good as she turned to me and said your doing fine. Your blood pressures fine , you dont smoke, heart ok. it was the dont smoke made me feel so proud of myself.
Hey jillygirl, more good news, this site is brimming with it today. No mean feat to be controlling your diabetes with diet, I bet you feel fantastic.
Is it me or have HU altered the message bit at the top of the page. Now have an envelope, or was it there before?
Probably me going senile.
Very observant of you Jilly. And no, you're not going senile - well not yet, anyway.

Went to circuits tonight and was chatting to a mad marathon runner who works where my dad used to work. His mate had come running with us last night and was supposed to join us. He appeared at some stage, then just vanished. I'll have to go again next week now to find out what happened.
May be he went back for his wellies.
On that sad note, i wish you all gooodnight. sweet dreams see you tomorrow. xx
