Pelvic pain - help!

Hi,

So for a year and a half I've been struggling with a pain in the perineum area. On a normal day the pain is noticeable, but doesn't give me that much trouble. It gets waaay worse after having sex and especially after ejaculating. I feel muscle soreness when I press my finger around my perineum. After ejaculating, the next day I feel this dull soreness around that area that lasts few days, with each day being less painful. My erections had also gotten worse - I'd say they are 80% strong of what it was.

The thing that I did to cause it was this - I've changed my job from physical to sitting, I was also on nofap for a 2-3 months but engaged in kegel exercises as I had urinary incontinence issue (it wasn't major). After doing kegels one day, after doing them for 2 weeks, I've felt this burning sensation in my penis and couldn't stop peeing. The next day it got better, but then felt stifness in my perineum when having an erection.

Can anyone please help me out? I do stretch, see a massage therapist but so far it didn't get better :(

Thank you!

First of all no more kegels because it sounds like you have tight pelvic floor muscles and you don't need them tighter... best thing is to go to a pelvic floor PT for an evaluation.. my pelvic floor PT sees a lot of men... It sounds like pelvic floor dysfunction so you can join the pelvic floor dysfunction group on Facebook has quite a few men on there too a lot of different modalities are used for it... I've had it for two years and a lot of the problem might be the sitting job so you need to get yourself a cushion that affords you to sit with a cutout I'll send you a link to the one I have and also you need to calm down your nervous system... Also less stress... a lot of us are on medications like gabapentin Lyrica, cymbalta, amitriptyline and it helps us a lot because it works with nerve and muscle pain and also muscle relaxers help

Pelvic pain cushion... $27.99 from home Depot

how did you resolve your problems? will contact gp soon about amitryptyline as you're not the first person recommending it.
