Vaginal Suppository

I am trying Baclofen 10mg vaginal suppositories to see if it provides any relief for my tense pelvic floor muscles?

Can anyone provide any experience using this medication in this form? Or even a combination that has helped you?

Doctors have been no help.. and I desperately need it!

I have been using 20 mg of Baclofen crushed into coconut oil, then placed in vagina with an applicator. My urogyn said it is almost the same as suppositories but much less expensive. Really helped relax my muscles. I started with 10 mg but had to go to 20 before seeing any relief

How exactly do you prepare the suppository? Do you put it in the fridge in a mold or?

Hi I have not tried Baclofen yet having a go at therapy first, there is always a trade when it comes to taking medicine therefore delaying this at the moment

Hi I found Valium & Lido better for me but baclofen/lido did provide some relief - I decided to go w Valium combo rather than increase baclofen dose. These 2 drugs have different mechanisms of action & although both are muscle relaxers - I think Valium has anti anxiety properties which may help ppl w chronic pain & anxiety that accompanies it. When I’m in crazy pain I find that I tense the pelvic floor - which exacerbated spasms.

Whatever works !! baclofen isn’t controlled substance, & therefore doesn’t require the hoops needed for C2,3& 4 rxs

I keep both in frig at all times

Stay safe

Best - A

Thank you for your response! If I can ask what is the ratio of the Valium lido?

Valium 10mg, lido 2% per supp (but I also have lido alone 5% supp if needed)

Have you checked w colorectal doc yo assure you have no fissures - not uncommon to develop fissure/hemmeroids due to pelvic floor muscle spasms. I had serious fissure that greatly contributed to pain. Surgically repaired & pain decreased but the PN pain was still v high - so I went w spinal neuromodulator last year & had to have it repositioned a few months ago w encouraging results so far. Still trying to find right program w Abbott rep & surgeon.

Pl reach out w Priv message if you want.

Thank you for your post and detailed info. I have been dealing with anal fissures, hemmroids and pelvic spasms. I had botox injections for anal fissures at the beginning of Mar and have gotten some relief but still get rectal pain, pelvic pain and spasms mostly after a bowel mvmnt. It has hampered my life very much. I have used valium off and on but don't want to use long term. Sometimes it feels like a ball is in my vagina and can't sit comfortably. It is just so much to deal with and hard to explain to others what is wrong. I just want some relief.
