Fibroid Laparoscopic Mymectomy Recovery

Over the last 7 months my periods became really heavy. 5 months ago I started to struggle to zip my skirts up and in the last 2 1/2 months I have put on a stone.

I found out a couple of weeks ago that I have a 3.8x4cm fibroid which the gynaecologist would like to surgically remove.

Please can anyone let me know if they’ve had a laparoscopic mymectomy for their fibroid and how long the recovery was?

Thanks!

I had a myomectomy. I believe recovery would have been three days. It did not have a good outcome for me, but that is rare.

Thank you. It has been an incredible journey. I do not want to say much because you should not be frightened, I truly believe it is a cure. I wonder about, why surgery for you? It seems they seldom intervene with one smallish fibroid.

It may be because I went for a private scan and not through the nhs possibly
