Stomach Issues after Lap

I saw my OB today due to continuous stomach bloating after lap. He thinks it’s a stomach issue and nothing related to the woman reproductive system. He’s scheduled me to do a MRI to make sure and referring me to a stomach specialist. Anyone ever had these issues after lap surgery? My initial complaint is stomach swelling.

Yes I’ve seen that as well. Thing is my stomach went down after surgery and then blew back up....

I have the same problem. I’ve had two laps in the past two years. I’m bloated even though I eat very little, I eat vegan, I’ve not consumed dairy products in over ten years.

What method of birth control do you use? Is there any medical metal hardware in your body? Metal pieces can migrate and cause major pain depending on where they end up.

Have you had your hormonel levels checked? What about vitamin D?

I thnk inflammation markets should be ordered like C-reactive protein and alpha 2 macroglobulon. Insist your doctor test these levels.

I’m currently not on any BC and I don’t have any metal in my body. I take multi vitamins and probiotics currently and just started castor oil packs. I’m hoping the MRI doesn’t show anything else as it’s just inflammation from the surgery.

Hi, sorry to hear of your problems! I too have issues. My question to you is where would you go to get a castor oil pack? I'm in the US and had to buy castor oil gauze and then freeze. the pharmacist advised she had never heard of a castor oil pack!? Going back again to Colorectal Dr and I will ask him too. I have Levator Ani spasms constantly during the day. Thanks and best of luck to you.

I have issues too. I think o have bowel motility issues and I am currently awaiting a transit test with gastro.

No still swellings i go for a MRI today and next week I’ll be seeing. A gastro specialist. The On said my blood work was good so that’s a plus. Still trying to figure it all out. Praying it’s nothing major.

Speaking of blood work, just received results from my blood and urine test..

my urine high in blood,for the past 2 years i had negative results... have to refer to urology
