Hi i am new to this and just wondering if anybody has anything similar to me and has any success stories. I am 23, i live daily with a constant pain in my abdomen/pelvic area, it all began 6 years ago when i was 17 and had a car accident, the accident wasn’t too bad just wiplash was the outcome, but since then i have this pain, they put it down to IBS first, then discovered i had PID so did a Lap, they did a pelvic wash and all was a bit better for a short while, then the pain came back and IBS they put it down to again, ive had MRI, CT, X-rays and ultrasounds, recently i had an ultrasound which showed a hydrosalpinx, i was sent for another lap and had it only yesterday, only this time all they did was look around, no info from the doctors of what had happened or what was found all i was told was it was a diagnostic lap! i was sent home the same day with no pain relief, today i seen my local nurse who checked over wounds and all usual checks, she was shocked they had not given me any medication to come home with as i had morphine several times after the lap, she is also quite concerned that i am in so much pain even though it was just a day ago, i have a raised temp but everything else is fine, terrible shoulder tip pain also. So i guess i’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar to myself and had any answers from the doctors or any success stories, trying to see the light at the end of it all, as i am so fed up of pain.
Pelvic and abdominal pain for 6 years... - Pelvic Pain Suppo...
Pelvic and abdominal pain for 6 years unexplained.
Can you explain your pain? Is it a burning, aching, or stabbing type pain? If nothing can be found on the scans it is possible you may have a nerve issue.
Have you got anything in at all for pain? Did nurse arrange a prescription gorgeous you?
I'm in a similar boat to you, lap found nothing and was just sent back to 'go back to the GP if pain persisted' as if it would suddenly stop after 7 constant years haha. Have you looked into pelvic floor therapy, a lot of pain can come from your pelvic floor muscles without us even realising. I know it's the really pointless answer but if you try everything then I guess it stops time wasting at the doctors when they make you go and try something else that you know won't work just to go back in 3 months still in pain haha x
Hi Ladies, Have either of you heard about Pelvic Congestion syndrome?MRI's and other high tech scans cannot detect it because you are lying flat. The only test for this is a TransVaginal Ultrasound scan. You can read more about it here facebook.com/pg/PelvicConge...
Also look at this site lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/He...
thanks i will look into this i’ve never heard of it before x
Haven't you had Transvaginal Ultrasound yet? Next step, if not?
Care needed with the pain killers as they cause constipation and stop bowel function, so will complicate things further. Lactulose medicine every day will help and Fybogels. Adding a little fresh orange juice to Fybogel will stop it from going thick before you can finish drinking it.
I had a twisted intestine 5 years ago. About 3 years ago I started with bloat and intense abdominal pain. I have been in the hospital 3 times and just got out yesterday for the same symptoms. I have had every test and just recently had colonoscopy and endoscopy. All negative. I am so done with everything. I keep asking if they will go in to check for abdominal adhesions and all Surgeons refuse. I am 65 and very active. I teach 6 dance classes a week. I am physically and mentally exhausted
