Pelvic adhesions

Hi, Im wondering if anyone can advise on pain relief and treatment for my pelvic adhesions please. I had a C section 10 years ago. After years of pain and seeing several consultants, endoscopic surgery found my bowel had attached itself to my pelvis with adhesions). The surgery was two years ago, and Ive only had minimal periods of pain, but in the last couple of months it is back and getting worse. The gastroenterology consultant I saw a year ago said I might need emergency surgery in the future if the bowel became obstructed due to adhesions- but I dont think this is happening. He said to control the pain with pain relief.. When it was really bad pre surgery, I was on 30/500 cocodamol but dont really want to start taking this again daily. The pain is daily and worse when sitting down or in bed (or maybe I dont notice it when walking around!). It woke me up the other night and I was having a nightmare that I had broken my hip...Any suggestions on how to reduce the pain would be much appreciated, thanks

Thanks, I hadnt thought about that option :-)

Do you mind if I ask your age and if you have had children or intend to?

Hi, Im 43. I have two children - one 10 who was born by emergency C section after undiagnosed breech, and a 7 year old by VBAC. Im a bit hazy about when the pain started - I think either a couple of years after the C Section, or after my second, but it got very bad when my youngest was 2. The flare ups can last for days or months. At its worst, pre surgery, I was in tears just trying to walk. I knew nothing about adhesions pre surgery, and have done very little research since as I thought the problem wasn't going to cause me many problems any more, so any thoughts welcome, thank you x
