I'm curious to find out exactly how this is diagnosed? I'm I agony with hip and pelvis pain and I've had the likes of a CT scan etc and still no further forward why I am in pain.

I've heard people say they got antibiotics for it however on what premise did the GP/DR prescribe this?

Many thanks

xx

Over the last five years have ha several MRI's tried every treatment imagined including antibiotics. I know what caused my pelvic pain (150 mile bike ride on a bike not broken in enough) The only think that has been some help is heavy doses of narcotic drugs that have there own side effects. I have learned to live with it realizing that at the age of 69 I probably do not have that many years of suffering left. I am a big believer in pain specialists. Have never met anybody who has actually beat (as in cure) pelvic pain. I also am taking Cymbalta which also seems to help with the pain.

I also Have pelvic pain.

4 years now.

I'm. 2 years junior to you.

Yes all the tests.

Tossed from gynaecology to diggestive to urology and internal medicine.

I tell the docs that the pain is centred on or near my left ovary and radiates up under my ribs sometimes.

I,m at my worst after evening meal when I sit down.

I also notice sometimes the pain area twitches.

In the past I,ve taken antibiotics as an infection was diagnosed but after about 2 weeks of relief, the pain comes back.

I,m also aware of an odour underneath but no discharge.

My bowel movement is never solid.

At first I thought it was fibroids.

I was operated on and they removed a2mm polyp that made no difference.

The worst thing is not getting a diagnosis.

I scan Dr Google every day.

I,ve given up on the medical profession.

I,m wondering about a hernia, pancreas or even a stone stuck in my ureter.

I try various herb remedies from time to time .

I live in Spain and there is supposed to be a very good health regime here.

I,ve paid for private tests but that's ended up with me being fleeced and no further on.

All this takes a toll on one,s mentality.

In the meantime I am supposed to be content with a diagnosis of 'chronic pelvic pain'.
