I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I have a question about dry skin after starting Urso. I itch of course, but my skin is dryer than it’s ever been. I use Shea lotion on my body and organic Shea butter on my face. Any other suggestions?

Dry skin & Urso
Hi Stephanellie
A good Christmas thank you, I hope yours was also.
If you are in the UK you may like to take a look at the following link. I discovered this web site early December but have not yet purchased any products. I intend to make an order in the new year and see if it helps. As it has been produced by leading specialists from a hospital environment I am hoping it will have the necessary properties to reduce the dry skin. There is a wide range of products.

Happy New Year
Take a look online at Pure Potion. The oil is fantastic and you can drop a few drops into your bath water then Masssge it directly onto your skin.
I use a good face moisturizer & E45 ( basic strong moisturizer) get it from my Dr. On the rest of me. Team not lotion is the key xx
I just have very dry skin - always have had. I alternate between E45 and Aveeno. I keep the giant bottle (press dispenser) of E45 moisturiser on hand for quick application after hand washing, and for any quick slapping on - anywhere - if need be; but also their large size tub of 'cream' for allover after a bath or shower. My GP also recommended Aveeno after I had some slight allergic reactions (change in the washing powder I use ?? no idea). The cream doesn't seem heavy but seems to work wonders after a shower, the liquid soap/shower lotion is gentle & not much needed; while the oat-oil for bath and shower is heaven: I love the smell. Most often I use it to remove make-up and wash my face with at the end of the day plus hot flannel, but I will use it in a bath, or to moisturise, post-shower, then rinse. The Aveeno is not cheap and I use it sparingly and revert to e45 when I cannot get cheap deals (eg 3 for 2). I've noticed the Aveeno range available in my local shops has shrunk and the oil is very hard to find other than online. I think it is because it is not cheap, and at first there were more special offers.
Thank you so much! E45 is prescription only?
No, in the UK it is in all good (larger?) chemist's, supermarkets and places like 'Superdrug', but again: lookout for special deals - NB also online, eg: the dreaded Amazon.
However, if you need this for seriously dry skin - esp if caused by a recognised condition - it may be cheaper on prescription, especially if over 60 in UK.
Hi Stephanelie,,
I have dry skin unrelated to my trial on Ursol. I live in the high desert in Colorado. Because one's skin is the largest organ in our bodies, I feel it can absorb as much desired as unintended micronutrients we place on it. Thus the reason I have chosen food grade unrefined cold pressed oils. In other words if I wouldn't eat it in on my salad, I wouldn't put it on my skin to be absorbed by different route. There are wonderful oils in grocery stores and natural food stores. I use oils, such as olive, avocado, hemp and grape seed. It helps with the dry skin and helps to know exactly what you are putting on your skin doesn't have an impurity that your liver has to work to filter out as a toxin. Hope this helps! Kathy
Use baby oil while your skin is still damp from bath/shower. Then pat yourself dry with towel to keep moisture in.
Neutrogena Sesame Oil is good also.
One of my favorites as well! & the Johnson & Johnson Lavender baby oil.
I’ve always had dry skin. I notice it more now. Neutrogena is slick. Can bust your rear if not careful🤭
Put it on after your bath/shower, outside the tub, using a bath mat. That way you are standing on the mat & not wet tub/shower.
Yes, I almost learned that the hard way🤨😄
