I have been on antibiotics this week for fluid in my belly I have a couple of days left. Should I wait and see or get an appointment?? Xx

Hi

I would make an appointment knowing how long it takes to get an appointment. Our surgery is very good if you have an emergency. We have to either go down for roughly 7:45 or start phoning from 8:00 so that you can get a same day appointment. Please let me know how you get on please. Take care of yourself

Just an update guys! Went to the GP as advised who sent me straight to hopsital where I have been since!! Swollen, fluid filled belly, low.oxygen level, low blood pressure etc.. They have totally ignored the swelling and the blood pressure and only seem worried about getting me out once they can control the pain and nausea!! Will be honest ... never felt so let down and rushed around just because of a bed shortage ... as I am writing I can hear them on the phone getting ready to replace people!! Xx

I can imagine how you feel. Actually, it doesn't need imagination. Doctors and nurses are having to spend so much of their time deciding who NOT to treat. I hope you are safe home soon. xx
