I had blood tests back in June results are:

Iron 22.41 umol 10.60-28.30

Tibc 52.61 umol 41.00-77.00

Transferrin sat 42.6 % 20.00-55.00

Ferritin 229 ugl 30.00-400.00

Active b12 57.200 pmol 25.10-165.00

Folate serum 9.37 ugl 2.91-50.00

25 oh vitamin d 59.9 nmolL 50.00-200.00

After taking vit d fultium d3 400iu x2 a day and also better you b12 boost 1200ug 4x a day I’ve had more bloods done and here’s the results from October

Iron 15.67 umol 5.80-34.50

Tibc 54.37 umol 45.00-72.00

Transferrin sat 28.82 % 20.00-50.00

Ferritin 137 ugl 30.00-400.00

Active b12 73.500 pmol 37.50-188.00

Folate serum 11.35ugl 3.89-26.80

25oh vitamin d 75.5nmol 50.00-200.00

Reason for the tests was fatigue aches pains sleepy moody, poor memory, diarrhoea daily, (also wheat free) although I can see an increase in b12 and vit d should there be more of an increase or is that fine for what I’ve been supplementing ? Also ferritin has dropped is there something I need to add to diet or take another supplement maybe?

Dr’s have said ibs but no further help on that

Still not feeling great everything seems a huge task!!!

Thank you

Your active B12 was well into the normal range before the supplements. The fact that it has risen by taking oral supplements strongly suggests that you do not have an absorption problem.

I don’t know enough about Vitamin D absorption to know how high levels should have risen. But somebody will come along soon enough to tell you that your levels are too low despite being in the normal range.

Your ferritin may have dropped, but it’s still nowhere close to being low.

I presume you’ve had an HbA1c and thyroid test?
