Abdominal pain

Hi everyoneI'm new to this chat and lost with what else to do.

I have a week to 2 week long episodes of abdominal pain that's most painful when I'm hungry. Suffering from bloating. I can be constipated but also sometimes have diarrhea. I do have yellow mucus at times.

When the pain subsides, I can go with up to 2 months with absolutely nothing wrong with me but then it returns. It's absolutely hell when it does come back.

I have been to the doctors twice and had blood test but they show nothing. I was supposed to have the camera down my throat to see if I had a stomach ulcer but had to reschedule twice, due to a muck up at the hospital, so I gave up.

Is there any natural remedies i can try.

I think it's more colon issues than stomach because the pain is below my belly button.

I have had thoughts it could be colitis. I just don't know.

I've now changed my diet to unseasoned food, chicken, eggs, rice and other low fibre foods. I have been told to try vitamin c powder or tablets.

Please can anyone help.

Thank you.

For what it's worth, I'd NOT do the natural remedy thingy yet ........ I'd consult a Nutritionist. I've done this in the past with life changing results. I'd used these services to settle my heart arrythmia. I still follow the basics of what my Nutritionist prescribed years ago. It may even be that a Nutritionist could well prescribe a suitable natural remedy. If you are in UK the BANT website may have a search box which could lead you to one near where you live.

You need to have more investigations. it could be Diverticular disease which is Diverticulitis when irritated though often called that anyway. which I have had in sigmoid colon for 30yrs now, initially with severe spasms I got severe spasms lasting over 1 hr, only eased after 40 mins by lying down and taking Buscopan and Codeine £30-60mg. When see Dr say you have Bowel problems. Don't mention stomach if below belly button.You need X ray of bowel which may include an Enema before hand which can be painful. Make a list of what you eat before an attack and see if there is anything that is always there. For me it was Broccoli that caused wind which seemed odd but I checked it recently, again. I can live with mine by avoiding white bread,keeping to a Mediterranean diet and drinking my 1.5 litres of water a day and always before eating. Every one seems to have different food triggers. Blood tests only show severe inflammation eg Cancer and mine is normal. I get some Left lower abd side tenderness and irregular bowel habit but I can live with that. The problem is that we have about 30ft of bowel and over time sections can loose their muscle tone and get flabby and cause little pouches where food can get stuck. I hope you can see a Dr who thinks outside ;the box;

Good Luck
