I suffer from chronic glute/back pain due to lumbar spinal stenosis, but am unable to take NSAID's due to taking Rivaroxaban blood thinners. Is there any effective pain killer that I can take?...

I am in a similar situation. I can’t take nsaids because I have really bad acid reflux. Probably from all the years of chronic migraines. Now I have osteoarthritis and compressed nerves even on protonix for reflux ,it got so bad I was vomiting after every meal. I am also searching for an nsaid that won’t bother my stomach. Good luck and please let me know if you find something. I am also very allergic to aspirin.
If you find one, please share on our forum. I can't take them because of stomach issues, and acetaminophen is pretty much worthless.
I can't call it an "effective" pain killer, but golden milk helps pain somewhat for me. When I'm past my limit, it's better than nothing.
A friend of mine is in a similar situation and was prescribed gapabentin for nerve pain which helps. ? ask pharmacist or GP
Hello Geoff I thought I would let you know that I've been prescribed MST Morphine 2x10mg twice a day. Because of Lumber Spinal Stenosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. I have Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation and Autoimmune conditions etc so I'm prescribed a lot of medication and like you I can't take NSAID either. I just thought this might be a help to you and perhaps you could be prescribed Morphine too. Best wishes.
Nope I haven’t had an NSAID in 30 years, due to a different issue but nope…you’ll find other help from other meds or meds combos, or just do without. I quit taking NSAIDS, in about 6 months any issue with headaches went away! Might just be be but I haven’t needed them except post orthopedic surgical procedures…lol! No worry’s you’ll be fine most like have fewer headache! My best to you!
