Im in the same boat as you but Im not sure if its piriformis or siatica …. I went on YouTube and found brad and bob physical therapist and looked up videos for both issues as well as hip did exercises they were doing and explaining and WOW I cleared up no pain ….. however one wrong move and I have it back …annoying

Hi batty1 thanks for replying much appreciated. Well I can tell you that if it piriformis the main pain in buttock/hip and sciatica I know the difference cos I've suffered sciatica for years. It so debilitating piriformis hope your okay x

Maybe its not piriformis at all but some type of arthritis or did you fall prior to all your pains?….. I have psoriatic arthritis that attacks my tendons so for me the pain in my butt happens because the psoriatic arthritis rears its ugly head …. It took 5 days for the exercises to work and that’s with me doing them often throughout each day … but sadly its short relief.

I Never had a steroid injection in my butt … I tend to avoid steroids if possible.

Well I've been saying for years I think ive got the onset of rheumatoid arthritis but they have said its fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis but I'm still unsure. No I didn't have a fall it all kicked off after I took a real bad cramp in my calf this has bern for about 10 weeks now

should have a vitamin panel done …. My mother had calf cramps that were so bad she could hardly walk tested her magnesium and she was deficient now she is on magnesium pills.

Oh I get that it's very sore I've been using 2 different massage guns on my calves but it doesnt help and that's high vibration!!! So is it your gp you ask ?

Yes, her GP ordered a complete vitamin panel and she was deficient in calcium, potassium and magnesium. She is elderly so she doesn’t eat the best anymore.
