So I’ve had pain in my right testicle since this past Friday. I went to the ER and had a ultrasound and urine test and both came back completely fine and normal. I followed up with my primary care doctor and he prescribed me ibuprofen and a steroid. And if it doesn’t get better which it hasn’t improved much at all he will send me to a urologist. I’m just wondering what else could I’d be if the ultrasound and urine test where fine. I’m a 20 year old male. (Edit) I forgot to add they also texted me for stds and all that was negative as well I am sexually active and my testicle doesnt hurt during intercourse or urinating it just constantly aches through the day

Update on pain in right testicle
Hope you can get some relief soon. When I was in my 30’s I woke up one morning with an extremely painful testicle. I had an obvious cause, though, and my doctor confirmed it. On the one night I didn’t wear my usual white briefs that hold my testicles in place, sleeping in the nude apparently was enough for one of them to get twisted in the middle of the night after a great night of sex. As I recall, I was able to get some relief with Acetaminophen and probably something stronger like Hydrocodone, and a bag of frozen peas strategically placed. Alternatively, I would take a hot bath to help. A urologist should be able to help. Best wishes.
At your age they need to rule out testicular cancer. I know two young men that acquired this. Should you get an MRI? Don’t worry. It’s likely not cancer but it must be ruled out.
