Everytime I exercise "running " during and af... - Pain Concern
Everytime I exercise "running " during and afterwards my right testicle hurts like hell,
firstly, you should speak to your GP about this - tell the secretary it's urgent!
i had similar symptoms a number of years ago, severe stabbing pains on my left side, accompanied by very lumpy tubes. GP said it was epididimitis (swelling of the epididimus tube), prescribed antibiotics which cleared it up - only to promptly return again. went back to the GP who said 'I have to live with it' - I never take that for an answer from doctors now! the pain lasted over 3 years, including periods where it disappeared for several months. it was awful. i eventually saw another GP who sent me for an ultrasound and referred me to a urologist. he said it was a varicose vein and suggested a procedure to embolise the blood vessels (with no guarantee of success). finally had the procedure (which was successful) 4 years after the first symptoms. The moral of the story? Don't let lazy GPs fob you off
Right il take that advice for the future with GPs but I only get the pain when doing sport or exercise. and its always my right testicle i have no pain in my left , and when i fell my crown jewels on epididmus "left side" feel differently to the right side does this mean ive got that epididmitis
agree with Londoner, get it checked. do you have any "walk-in centres"? or sexual health clinics? - I'm not suggesting anything here, it's just that a friend of mine had a "zip incident" and he was seen immediately there, ok it was full of teenagers after condoms but he couldn't see them for the pain! He says better them than the fire brigade but for some reason I disagree!
there are always emergency appointments so tell them you need to be seen, even if it's not, who says the receptionist can decide? that's why they have drs.
regards, sandra.
You do need to get this checked out - it's unlikely to be a torsional problem, or cancer, but epididymitis is a possibility, or you may have a small cyst on the tube that is being aggravated by the exercise. Whatever it is, you're best off being referred to a urologist to check it out, put your mind at ease, treat it, and/or give you self-help.
My OH has had similar, but not identical, problems, and - whilst it's embarrassing to have someone examining such things - it does tend to set your mind at rest!

Hope you have had this checked out by now - really embarrassing but all part of the job to the doctors and medical staff. The suggestion of the sexual health clinic is a good one as they are often more up to date on info in this area and most have a drop in clinic. Google your local hospital and find out if yours does.
