Pain in lower right abdomen area

Hi,

I've been experiencing a dull pain in my lower right abdomen area which sometimes moves to my lower right back. The pain comes and goes and is generally just distracting more than anything but I've also noticed my urine has been smelling particularly unpleasant I've had several blood tests and a CT scan all of which have failed to highlight any issues. My GP is at a loss as to what the issue is and I'm beginning to get slightly anxious it could be something serious. I have a history of stomach pains which I've managed by eliminating dairy from my diet but never has the pain been this localised. Just wondering in case anyone has experienced something similar.

It sounds like your Gall bladder or Gall stones, may be playing up. Reducing dairy and fat in general does help. Ask your GP to check it out.

Have you had your urine tested for infection?

Hi lower right abdominal pain is not usually due to the gallbladder, the pain for that is usually upper right side under the ribs across the abdomin through to the back or shoulder and beleive me the pain is such you would be calling an ambulance or at least the doctor. I speak from experience as I had my gallbladder removed by major surgery many years ago due to failure of the organ. Please try to pinpoint what causes your pain and see your GP hopefully it is something that can soon be rectified. Best wishes

Hi

Yes, I agree. I had mine out October 85. Please take care of yourself Lynne

It might be your ileocecal valve. Chlorophyll pills for a couple of weeks may help and they are natural.

Gall stones are often caused by eating greasy foods. Avoid sausage, French fries and battered fried fish.

Urinalysis can be wrong. Can you buy your own dipsticks and check your urine for blood, nitrates and red cells?

Does your urine smell sweet? It could be diabetes. Good luck. I hope you keep on top of this. Maybe you need an MRI?
