Confused good news!!!

Hi my lovelies,

Well confused good news it is...... Taxol doesn’t usually work it usually takes forever to do anything and it usually has to be mixed with something like avastin to get any results so her CA125 went from 168 up to 190 so expecting it to be way over 300 we had a shock it’s 56 we have absolutely no idea how it’s working this time when last time it was utter crap! So hence the confused good news I was ready to be let off the leach but didn’t need to (I’m a good dog) 😂 😂😂 but let’s just say we’re pleased the numbers are going the right way hopefully a CT scan will also show it’s going the right way xxx

Well there you go. All that stress for a good result. Hope you both had waggy tails :-) I'm really chuffed for you (both). Time for a small celebratory drink perhaps?

I'm really interested in what you've said about taxol. I've made a graph of my CA125 results and how it correlates with the various drugs. I want to show the onc on Friday that with taxol or taxotere, one dose of each only, I had great results. After that nothing worked. I would like to hear his views. He'll think I've gone weird as I don't usually show much interest in what's going on inside me.

I'm thrilled for you so onward and upward. Big love xxxxxxx

Tremendous news, and I’m pleased you were a good 🐶😊 and didn't need to bite anybody.

I know of another lady who taxol really didn’t suit and it hadn’t worked, they changed her to the lower weekly dose under very close monitoring and her numbers are now quite rapidly heading in the right direction. I always thought it was the carbo that had the big boots on but maybe it’s the taxol that actually does the job eventually in some cases, it possibly just takes more time with some of us 🤔.

Give your special person a big well done hug from me and I suggest a wee celebratory tipple could be in order? I hope the scan shows evidence to corroborate the CA125 change. ❤️Xx Jane

Phew, I"m glad for you guys. Low ca125 is always a reason to celebrate, at least a little. Hope the trend continues. All the best. Maus

They usually say forward and upwards but in your case forward and .ca 125 downward would be apt I so hope the trend continues for you. Chris

Hi there

I have great faith in Taxol. The combination of Carboplatin/Taxol brought down my CA125 from the thousands to normal and left me with NED for 5years. When it recurred in my lymph nodes in 2016 inexplicably I was given Carbo only which may well explain why I am now facing treatment for the same lymph node recurrence . It has all left me tired and angry . I know that Taxol is not suitable for everyone but I could actually physically feel myself improving despite the side effects. I did not have the same experience on Carbo only and the result speaks for itself.

I am so happy for you that numbers are going in the right direction and long may it continue !
