Morning , I’m on taxol and avastin weekly . I’m having difficulty with my veins . I decided to have a port fitted rather than a pick line . Has anyone had a port fitted when having avastin . I’m worried about wound healing . Thanks xx

Does anyone have experience of stopping Avastin when stable? How can we be sure that the enlarged lymph nodes are even cancer without a biopsy? She is starting to wonder if it’s the Avastin keeping her stable or whether to stop having it.

Dear lovely ladies, My mum finished her first line chemotherapy treatment (she has 3a2 hgsoc; hrd negative); avastin was stopped after the first cycle because she had a bacterial infection that caused stomach bleeding (and avastin was never reintroduced after that).

Hello beautiful ladies, Has anyone been on Avastin or Elahere maintenance after chemo? If so can you share your experience. What were your side effects? How soon afterwards do the Drs recommend a CT scan while on maintenance. Thanks for sharing.

Was Started on Avastin - 3 injections no change. They switched me to Eylea and I’m having devastating fatigue.. first episode after injection only last 5 days.. 2nd injection now 2 1/2 weeks with extreme fatigue. Any others out there experiencing this

Finished my 1st lot of treatment carbo/taxol and avastin in November but my scan results were not good so now I’m not curable but treatable I’m starting weekly taxol with 1 week off can anyone tell me what side effects will be like with this treatment thanks 🦋

I had my second Avastin injection-- and now after 3 days I havelost some vision in the lower portion of my eye. With a bit of a reddish hue. It is a bit scary. The injection was for the purpose of prep for cataract surgery.

Was given eye injection of avastin but didnt improve vision. Anyone else have same issue and if so what course of treatment did you do and was it successful in improving vision?

Had AMD for 3 + years and have Avastin eye injections in 1 eye every 4-6 weeks. Overall I have made improvement with little side effects. As of today I have gone to a lower 2.5 strength readers from 3.5 strength after getting 20/20 on eye chart exam. Anyone else have a similar experience?

surgery right away six rounds of chemo and just about to complete her 24 cycles of Avastin. We are scared of death of the lack of a parachute. I’m sure this is a common concern. Not just a physical, but this mental aspect of all this is so so difficult.

My AMD was treated first with Avastin injections but had a rare reaction and was changed to Eylea HD. Now I have a rash that has spread with severe itch. Dermatologist has ruled out every known skin condition and biopsies are negative for cancer.

Hello I’ve read on here about self funding for Avastin. Can I ask how you go about this? Is it through your NHS Consultant? Thanks for any help xx

I had a ct scan three weeks after my CA125 keep increasing last six month as soon as finshed 18th IV of Avastin. Upset and nurvouse not knowing what will be the side effect of this 2nd line of chemo starting on 27th Dec.

I am now going to start a new treatment which I think is Gem Taxol and Avastin. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this as I am hoping this new treatment works.

I was supposed to start Avastin at the same time but I had dental work done and it’s on hold until November. I’m stage 4B ovarian and I’m really struggling with the taxol . I’m really weak and fatigued. Anyone any experience of this . thanks xx

I've been on Avastin for five years now, post debulking/chemo. Not a lot of side effects, or if I've had them I don't notice them anymore. No recurrences, and insurance keeps paying for the treatment so I keep getting them. My onc asks me what I think about going off it.
