chemotherapy followed by maintenance avastin
After 6 cycles the doctor wants to start
avastin
as maintenance. I am afraid that stopping the chemo and having only
avastin
won't keep the CA 125 down. Has anyone received maintenance
avastin
having a high CA125? Did it keep the CA125 at the same level or lower?

Gemzar not working
Sadly, I couldn’t tolerate more Carbo, and the Gemzar/
Avastin
infusions have not helped. My CA125 is rising. Has anyone has this happen? Any suggestions? Thank you.

waterproof PICC covers
I still have a PICC line in for my regular
Avastin
and would like a completely waterproof cover for it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

avastin costs
hi, is anybody having
avastin
(bevacizamab) and paying privately for it. I responded well to it on first diagnosis 6 years ago. Unfortunately I am not eligible on the nhs . Can anybody tell me more about the costs as they seem to vary so much.

Oncologist gives me 6 months to a year more of life
Onco suggested I look into combo of
Avastin
+ Tecentriq, which present an array of side effects as a trade off to slowing down the liver degradation. Does anyone have experience with this combination of drugs?

Has anyone been on Niraparib twice?
The alternative is
Avastin
infusions at a reduced dose. I was on
Avastin
after first line chemo but found the side effects very difficult . The third choice is to monitor closely with regular bloods and CT if necessary. I really don’t know what to do.

Gemzar was tough
I spent many years on
Avastin
since 2008 diagnosis. When I came out of remission from it. I was put on carbo/Gemzar. I had a bad reaction to the Carbo, so I had 10 treatments of Gemzar. I finally had to ask Onco to stop because I was losing my quality of life.

More decisions - Avastin, Niraparib or Letrozole
My Mum, who has done 6 rounds of chemo, 2 with
Avastin
, has just been told she still doesn't present as suitable for surgery. We have mixed emotions about this as she is in her early 80s, although previously very fit and healthy.

self-funded Avastin at the Christie
I am trying to gather reliable info on what it would cost to pay for a course of
Avastin
at the Christie. I have run a search on here and other UK forums and the broad consensus is around £20, 000 but there was another recent thread on here where £46,000 was mentioned.

Has anyone taken Avastin?
They think the
Avastin
treatment will reduce the brain swelling. (BTW
Avastin
does not work on breast cancer cells and is not the point of the treatment.) Anyone with a similar experience? Thanks so much! Kay

KoAFTER AVASTIN WHAT TO EXPECT.
I went to see another doctor to take his review and he said your previous doctor has injected
avastin
and i am also unable to do anything else til your next oct. and he also diagnosed the same problem, and written alter macula reflex. Which can only be treated with injections.
