Not posted for a long time but do read posts regularly. Just wished to share good news as we all need positive stuff to give us a lift. Went for my check today with ovarian oncologist and had the good news that CA125 is in normal range, single figures and my bowel cancer reading is 2 which is normal range also. Was so low nearly four years ago after being diagnosed with bowel cancer and having surgery and chemo. Continuing cancer count rise, possibility of cancer in peritoneum so then having to go to Christies for cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC.Basically removing ovaries, fallopian tubes, womb, omentum, etc and heated chemo washed through. It was then found I had ovarian cancer, 3C! Bit of a bummer that was. Back to original hospital and chemo of Taxol and carboplatin for the ovarian. This post is just to say to anyone out there that however rough things might appear there is always hope and with good luck and correct treatment there can be a good outcome. After the ovarian diagnosis I must admit I was only living days at a time, now I can plan months ahead. Down to 6 monthly checks now. Yippee. Love to all on same journey.
