Well , I had progression on my Liver and my onc wants to put me on Taxol for 3-4 months. I was told I could cold cap. I can also choose Trucap / Faslodex . I’ve been on Ibrance , Piqray, Enhertu and Kisqali . I don’t know why but Taxol sounds terrifying

Hi everyone, I have started taxol three weeks ago. I was supposed to start Avastin at the same time but I had dental work done and it’s on hold until November. I’m stage 4B ovarian and I’m really struggling with the taxol . I’m really weak and fatigued. Anyone any experience of this . thanks xx

So now it taxol for 12 weeks. Once a week and 4th week off. I’ve read most of the posts on here relating to taxol and I appreciate all the information. I guess I’m just looking for a 👍 from everyone. I always say “Just another mountain to climb!!” Anyway thanks for listening.

My Dr. is now suggesting Taxol (Paclitaxel) IV Chemo treatment. Anyone have experience with this drug? I’m a bit embarrassed to say the hair loss is so discouraging, along with the other side effects of IV Chemo. Sure could use some encouraging news.

Hello ladies, I tried to have my first chemo session yesterday with no luck - had pretty bad allergic reaction to taxol immediately after starting (difficulty breathing, itching, tingling, threw up 3 times, low blood pressure, etc.). I was basically out for about 30 - 45min.

Either way Caelyx is apparently not for me :( Anyone experience with weekly taxol ? thank you dear ladies 🙏🍀

I am wondering if I will lose my hair again like I did with Taxol. My oncologist said most likely I will along with nausea but I have read that some people have less side effects than with Carbo/Taxol. Thank you so much for your support. Marietta

Hello, I have HGSOC now grade 4 spread to liver abdomen and bowel and have just finished 6 months of weekly taxol with a week's break every 3 weeks. CT scan shows good result with nodules stable or have shrunk.

I was given a choice because I tolerated the carbo/taxol considering the common side effects I had which were nausea, low appetite, tiredness, low hemoglobin and loss of hair was devastating but Not to say these are a walk in the park side effects but I think I was ok with carbo/taxol.

I’m looking to chat with someone that took weekly taxol to help with pertinieum Mets and ascites. Thanks so much. Marianne

I had seven treatments of Taxol in 2022, but I couldn’t tolerate it. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

She took it for 5 months after taxol and it worked much better, now she has a follow-up Pet scan after another 5 months.

I just started taxol for pertinieum Mets and wondering if anyone is doing this treatment. I have 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Can’t eat much cause I have small bowel blockage. How is everyone doing in this treatment. I am really nervous. Thanks. Marianne

I’m a bit nervous even though I’ve been on carbo/taxol and niraparib . Had a tough time with it but don’t know what to expect for carbo/caelyx. I hear different experiences from everyone.

Started Taxol chemo June 2023, for 12 weeks. Started everlimous/exemestane Oct 2023…scans were fantastic until three weeks ago, hence the offer for Enhertu. Taxol (ughhh)…would love some feed back. Keep fighting warriors!!

Hello ladies, After switching to docetaxel due to a strong reaction to taxol, I had a similar reaction although milder to the second docetaxel infusion. So now my doctor wants me to try nab paclitaxel. I know it’s supposed to be less allergenic but the risk is not 0 even with this one.

Hi everyone, I'll be starting my Carbo/caelyx or my onc might put me through Carb/taxol again (I had this when I was first diagnosed) and she said they will add Avastin to this combo for the 6 cycles.

Had 5 cycles of chemo ( 1 of carboplatin and taxol - allergic response to taxol , 4 of carbo) debulking operation in Jan 2023 , followed by 2 further rounds of carboplatin. I have been receiving Avastin and Olaparib since April 2023 .
