I've been on kevzara since November last year plus 5mg methtextrate every fortnight. All going brilliant up till a month ago. I got a bad water infection and had to miss 2 injections then boom massive flare resulting in prednisolone and painkillers. My left elbow closed for 3 days but can now move it. Problem is my right ankle, all swollen and stiff and really painful. Thought ,having been on steroids since Monday that it might be calming down but this evening have started having really bad cramping in my calf and I could just cry. Have tried stretching it out but due to ankle still being stiff and painful I can't do it. Any suggestions please guys x

Hi have you tried bananas?

Bananas are a good source of potassium. But they'll also give you magnesium and calcium. That's three out of four nutrients you need to ease muscle cramps.

Also a hot towel rap around is good for circulation. Hope this helps.

Horrible, hope the steroids kick in soon. Oral tablets? Seems you need 4x5mg to quell all that pain.

I am on a taper myself while I wait for Amgevita.

It took three days to get some relief, six for full benefit with 3x5mg daily.

I hope some brilliant person comes up with a cure soon!

Meantime, also wishing you relief asap.

For leg cramps, I usually look to potassium to help. Bananas, orange juice, Gatorade. Any sports drink usually has potassium in it. Hope it helps.

Fevertree tonic water it contains quinine. Your cramps are caused by steroids unfortunately. I no longer have to take them but dread the time when I will need steroid injection again. Nasty cramps .
