Hello, I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for about 18 years now. I am on Methotrexate and Abatacept. I have had 2 ankles replaced and more recently a hip replacement. I am currently waiting to have a total knee replacement.
Has anybody tried CBD oil? I am just interested to know whether it has helped and which variations you have tried.
I would like to try this as I believe it can help with RA and also with regulating blood sugar as I also have diabetes. I do not sleep well and again I believe it can also help with this too.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi there, about 3 months i think, I've been on it now for 4 years, and although I'm not great, it does keep the RA under control. I am better on Abatacept than without it. Hope my comments help.
I've been using CBD oil for almost one month and am up to 12 drops per day. It has not made a difference in inflammation yet but i do feel a sense of wellbeing. I plan to try another formulation if this one isn't effective. I'm buying thru a dispensary in Maine
Yes I have been using cbd oil for about a month now. It has made an incredible difference to my life. Better sense of well being, not needing painkillers every day. Generally made life more pleasant instead of a 'living nightmare' I was in before cos my meds weren't working . Try red oil from cbd brothers - it's not cheap but worth every penny .
Yes, it is legal (it doesn't contain THC which is the restricted item).
There's a very knowledgeable person on the Pain Concern forum and lots of previous discussions of it. The quality of the product and source seem very important. iirc, most people recommend very specific suppliers (like Phoo2 ) and joining a FB group. ETA: CBD USERS UK
I haven't used it. I know that there's a good sub-Reddit group on CBD oil and the knowledgeable admins there are concerned about the lack of testing of products and the negligible standardisation of dosages. From front page of reddit type
Yes thats precisely the information I'm looking for. You can get from the UK even in Holland & Barrett but that seems to be a weaker version. I'm open to suggestions as to where to buy it from. CBD Brothers seems to crop up a lot.
I tried not working spent lot of money tried stronger one... no big difference i heard cbd with thc will work but for what i need Permission... ordered online, American company.
I use it but it works better with the lowest dose thc need a medical marijuana card. Worth a try though CBD oil if you can't get a card for the thc part. Lots of recent clinical trials showing good results in lots of diseases especially inflammatory problems, seizures , sleep and chronic pain just do a online search it all comes up so you can research it first .
They call it a miracle plant - the cannabis plant . Well I am still on steroids and injections and still have bad days. However the no of good days has increased dramatically and some days I feel really good just being me - something the disease robbed me off...and truth be told I haven't felt in years .. . So whilst I still need my meds - just that little change in the last month is enough for me to recommend cbd oil wholeheartedly..... quality is very important as cheap products just won't work I have found ....hope that helps ... and it is 100% legal btw....
Hope that helps ..... it's so difficult finding something to help through the agony!!!
Thats very encouraging to know and I shall definitely be trying CBD in the near future because as you say anything that can help is worth a go. Do you mind me asking, is it oil and what form or colour is it, as there seems to be so many variations. Thanks,
Hi again Jayne . I use red oil from cbd brothers . I reduced my dose of steroids this week and haven't been doing too well . I think I have to go back up but this morning and my hands were sore and swollen . I had a few vapes of pure cbd Crystal and it has worked wonders! Able to do a few jobs now....
