Hi everyone I'm on day 4 of champix, since I've started I was worried about how I would know when to stop smoking and how difficult it would be.
Well today I haven't smoked for the last 4 hours and right now I have a bit of mental cravings not physical, I was wondering should I quit today? I feel uncomfortable when I smoke.

I am using champix. I've tried really hard to follow the instructions, as I figure that must give you the best chance of success, but don't smoke if you don't want to, that would be weird!
I did find I was smoking a lot less, so I stopped when the packet ran out, which was day 8, but I thought I would go on until day 10. I am sure you will find exactly the right time to stop for you.
You'll know when, I just physically couldn't smoke anymore, I felt sick every time I had one, so I stopped smoking, that was the only time the Champix made me feel yuck. I've stopped 3 days now and yes I have the odd pang when I forget myself and go to reach for my rollie in the ashtray (DH still smoking) and then remembering I don't smoke....lol
Hi there, I quit on day 13 of the champix. I was smoking a lot less than usual in the run up to quitting. I never thought I could do it and I'm only on day 5 of not smoking. But if you feel your ready to quit then good for you. Just remember to take it day by day and you have until day 14 to quit. I smoked for 22 years and 30 roll-ups a day so I had to make sure I was completely ready b4 trying as I didnt want to fail. But you sound like your doing great. Best of luck to you 😊
Thanks everyone for the support, I woke up this morning I had no physical cravings but I felt something was missing so I had one after an hour, I usually smoke in the first 5 minutes.
I'm very nervous about the whole process of quitting I feel I don't have strong determination like I did on previous quits. I used champix many times b4 and successfully quit for 5 months once.
I have been smoking for 19 years and for the last 7 years I've been smoking pack of 20 a day.
I've tried hundreds of times to stop smoking over the years and I quit two times once for 9 months and another time for 5 months. I felt really happy when I did my life was so much better. I feel really cautious this time I don't know if I can make it I'm so used to cigarettes being part of my life.
Well I'll see how it goes, this time once I'm free from the addiction NOT ONE PUFF EVER. NOPE
