Thx for all the encouragement. I just got back from the gym and did 1 mile on the elliptical. NEVER NEVER would have been able to do that before. Im so proud of myself! Exercise has been great therapy. I highly recommend it.
Hi Kathie, well done 90 days is fabulous. I was pleased to read that your anxiety is down, I have been having huge problems with anxiety, sometimes it seems almost unbearable, just wondering how long it has taken for yours to ease?
Actually the anxiety was there up until now really. I know everyone is different but mine just hung around. Wish i had better news. I have been going to the gym and drink alot of water. There was a post about one day at a time and tomorrow will worry about tomorrow. I started practicing it. That helped ALOT. It took pressure off of me and i am able to live. โบ
Thanks Kathie, that is good news actually, mine seems to be hanging around too but if that's how it can be I know I just have to keep pushing through one day at a time regardless. If you can do it, I can do it, you've helped me more than you realise, thank you and stay strong
Jared01 posted "one day at a time" this is so inspirational it will change your life. Good luck !
Thanks!!
I just read it,sounds good and I'm gonna start right now with that way of thinking - no smoking today, tomorrow is too far away right now to think about, thank you again.
Hey Chinnup - by any chance do you drink coffee? If so, this could be a major factor in your anxiety as I had to stop drinking it when I stopped, after 2 years, if I had a cup of it (even light brand, red maxwell house ) I get very anxious.
Another thing I experienced early on in my journey was dealing with anxiety head on. I decided to work at taking it away, work was a big thing and caused me to be anxious, but I seemed to have found my voice when I stopped smoking and spoke up if needed help and asked questions if something I didn't understand - positive mental attitude is great to help with it too.
You also could take a trip to your local health food shop for herbal supplements to help with these feelings.
But do remember as Kathie rightly advised everyone is different with how long their withdrawals last....
