I am Marie. As smoker of 40 yrs, six years ago I took Champix. Within 10 days I just didn't want to smoke. My will power was nonexistent where smoking was concerned. I rang the quit line and a lovely guy suggested Champix. So the old saying you quit when you're ready I believe doesn't apply. Over the last year I started the occasional smoke... Whammy a family tragedy and back to smoking 15+ a day. Now back on Champix and losing desire to smoke. After 7 days a couple a day and some nauseous feelings but better than the old habit x

Hi ya. I too am a lover of Champix. Third time using it and its gonna be my last. Just goes to show how easy it is to fall back to old ways. But to be honest a family tragedy could affect any of us.
You are back on the quit train thats all that matters. You must have loads of tips and advice you can give out. So do join in.
I am currently on day 9 of taking champix and not had a cigarette in 2 days, but since taking the blue tablets I have constantly felt ill, and both nights of taking the blue ones I have woken up and had to be sick😔 does these symptoms eventually go away??
This is quite common. It does go away as you get used to the higher dose. Always take with food. It might be that two blue ones are too much for you. You could try just half in the evening. Thats what I do. Hope that helps. You are doing great so keep going.
Thankyou I'm just finding it so hard, I havnt been craving a cigarette so that side of it is fine I just feel ill all the time, I feel sick all day, being sick at night and waking up with the sweats and a headache in the morning x
I did have all that for the first week and then it went. Its all part of the withdrawal not just the champix except the sickness bit. I know its horrible but you have to put up with it. Its the nicotine and all those chemicals coming out and reacting with your body. Drink lots of water to help flush it out. I promise it will get better.
