I have been really wanting to quit smoking for some time now. I know people who have quit cold turkey and it's worked great for them. I feel like I've tried that but it keeps me going to the store to buy more. i really want to do this for myself to feel good again. PLEASE can someone help me figure out the best way for me to do this..? TIA

I'm so new to this and I guess to be honest, I'm scared to death to quit but I really want too! I know I need to also. What is NRT? I'm sorry I'm just new to forums of any kind and figured this one looked like it had lots of people who are willing to help! <3
I think all smokers feel apprehensive about quitting after all smoking is a big part of our lives. My advice is pick a quit date, tell your friends and family. quitting cold turkey is the best method but most decide on some form of nicotine replacement therapy. I quit using an ecig gradually reducing the nicotine till I felt comfortable then quit that too. It takes time and willpower but it's worth it. Posting on here will be a great help you will receive help and encouragement. Good luck with your quit
