Welcome to our community youghal and congratulations on Day 2, that is great!
I have never heard of desmoxan, is it a form of champix to help take the edge of the craving? We look forward to reading your progress, have a read of the pinned posts across the way and post anytime, we are here to help and all at different stages (over 2 years quit myself).
Thank you. I have done 2 days, not all easy but I have got through. Desmoxan ( also known as tabex) is a plant based remedy from Eastern Europe. I got them online as you are unable to get them in UK as not licensed here.
It help with nicotine withdrawal and understand that it latches onto dopamine receptors and apes nicotine. I was on it for 4 days throwing to reduce ciggies and stopped on day 5.
The cravings still come but are more manageable ( so far)
How is day 3 going for you youghal - nicotine will be out of your system by end of today and then the mental battle will begin with the rewiring, repairing and recovering so get ready to attack at all times, as each day passes the easier it will become
Thanks for enquiring. I am getting through but it's been a bit harder as I am on my own today for the first time . At work tomorrow , so different situations to deal with. The tables are definitely helping to reduce the cravings and they are definitely not as intense as I experienced when I went cold turkey previously .
Ultimately though I believe as pretty much everyone in this community believes , the real work is done in your head.
Definitely youghal - positive and strong mindset is vital in our journeys, never ever regret stopping and embrace it will everything you have, you can do it, keep the mantra that smoking is not an option and not one puff - take it day by day, hour by hour if needs be and post anytime, we are here to help
