Terrible evening. Hit me like a bus. I am having severe cravings. Worst it has been. I feel very anxious. Sweaty and panicky. I know t will pass but writing in this is an outlet and way to keep going.
Totally normal right? It's extreme. And came out of no where. Yet I have no desire to smoke. It's awful and I detest it now. I just need to get over the cravings.
Any words of wisdom welcome!!!!
Thanks all.

Hey Matt28 - I promise it is perfectly normal these out of the blue cravings - I remember mine well at your stage - early night seemed to do the trick with a pint glass of water - relax reading or listening to your favourite music or watch a funny movie - deep breathing too does work wonders - continue to post
Yep, totally normal. Yes, it will pass. No, not fun, not fun at all.
Do not give in. You just have to ride it out I am afraid. RoisinO1 is right about getting an early night. That always worked for me as going to bed was probably the only place I did not associate with smoking. If need be, counteract the cravings with some other activity, such as eating\snacking.
You are well into your quit. The cravings are mental not physical. I found it is actually possible to both want to smoke and to not want to smoke all at the same time.
You are doing so well. So, go to bed\eat all the crisps in the house or whatever it takes to get through this evening.
Ice cold water is the bomb!!! It saved me so many times in my early days. Something about it just calms my nerves. It was suggested to me and now I have to pass it on to you because it really, really works.
Matt..Sorry... but sadly the reality...The ups and downs of quitting drive us against a wall somedays but just to feel better the next...You are doing well Matt..Hang on in there !!
When I got the twinge of a pang for a fag I would pour a glass of fresh orange and lemonade and have that. Those little pangs and cravings do go fairly quickly. They never last long. You are doing everything right. Keep going. I also kept a supply of good novels and reading by my bed which helped if I woke up. For understandable reasons my sleep was badly disturbed around the time I stopped being a smoker. I never woke up craving a fag, but it was difficult being wide awake at 2.30 in the morning. I'd read until my eyes were dropping.
This period WILL pass Matt28 and you will NEVER regret stopping. Keep going. Amonth in and the road is clear ahead of you.
