I've still got the peace but wow, what a wash of cravings today.. I think from keeping an eye on things that it's the 'reward' or 'break' that I miss when doing jobs around the house etc. The cravings are definitely less and I spent Friday with my smoking friend and didn't feel the need to pinch a cigarette.
I'm just finding it a bit rough when I'm doing stuff... hoping it passes soon.
All the best to everyone

Hey Jo, 64 days today and going strong, well done! The 'reward smoke' is a perfectly normal thing to go through and hard to shake off and get rid of the habit of doing, I found it very difficult but what I done to substitute was my water juicer bottle - it was a godsend for craving and for those rewards - it was healthy and refreshing and hit the spot, it is a bottle that you chop up any bits of fruit or herbs you like, put into bottom compartment and top up with water throughout the day (picture attached), actually started a trend in my previous job with it, chopped up mint, cucumber and lemon, very refreshing
By the way, have you decreased your nicotine level or use of your e-cig by any chance as that could be contributing to it? Are you using the ecig after these tasks?
Roisin thank you 😊 I've bought one of those bottles after I read you talking about it somewhere else, great tip!! I'm trying not to eat rubbish as I'm maid of honour at my friends wedding in July and the dress is fitted! So hard! 😂
I'm using two strengths of nicotine in the e cig, 0.6 and a 1.6 for the bad times! I'm trying not to use it at cigarette times as I don't want to just substitute smoking with it. I have a couple of toots when I think I need them... maybe use it a bit more. Don't really want to habit form with it. Thanks as always Roisin, you're a brilliant support 😊
Aw thanks Nozmo, it's a relief to hear that. Crikey!! I think I read that, well done not going back though. It's funny but I feel way too far in to think of going back either. Th sands again
That was exactly how it was for me. I used smoking as a reward. I had quite a lot of rewards it seems. Worry not. It does pass as you get used to doing things and not smoking afterwards. It just takes a while, that is all. I still seem to miss the reward part of smoking.
I have been doing a lot of gardening and it has been quite hard not to think about smoking. It doesn't help that husband keeps appearing and lighting up. There's nothing quite like putting a plant in when a huge cloud of smoke passes over. I think sometimes, that if I could get away with having just one, I would. It is only the knowledge that it won't ever be 'just one', it will in fact be, 'one and all those that follow afterwards', that stops me.
Chin up. Persevere. It's a learning curve. You will get used to doing things without the reward afterwards. 😊😊😊
You just made me howl laughing Mushen!! Brilliant! I think I had a lot of rewards too hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Oh my, I think I'd bop the husband! I'm lucky I'm on my own just my boy and I. Funnily enough, it's much harder when he isn't here now I think of it...
Ah thanks so much lovely, you're a star. I think the same as you, I wouldn't be able to just have one, it's all or nothing and I never want to smoke again, ever.
I know just what you mean about missing the 'rewards'. I'm finding I don't take a break from whatever I'm doing, because having a cig was my break. Doesn't seem like I'm getting any more of anything done though, and I do miss the reward!
