My cravings have been under control but yesterday I decided to get my sewing machine out to do a project I've not used it since I quit but massive cravings started and I know my mind was just playing tricks because of old habbits I didn't give in though and all back to my new normal today although shocked at how intense it was.

Hello.

Yep, cravings can hit you when you least expect them. It can happen each time you do something for the first time as a non-smoker.

Well done for seeing it through and not giving in. 😃

It sure did seem to come from no where. I'm now at the stage where cigs don't have a hold on me. I think I may be free which is something I never thought I would be. I started smoking at just 13 I'm now 33 and a non smoker 20 years I smelt gross and my lungs couldn't funtion properly I don't need to panic as to weather I have enough supplies and the kids don't have to wait for mum to nip out before they can open presents at Christmas and birthdays. I'm finally free and it feels good

Well done melsamoo for getting through one of many curveballs you will encounter in your journey, for me the summer season last year was the worst, with first lawn cut, bbq, painting etc, but this year is no problem at all 8-) You are doing great!

Thank you I will the thought and smell repulse me. No idea what I was thinking don't matter how much perfume you put on you still drink if you smoke.

That was stink not drink won't let me edit

I had massive cravings yesterday. It was because I was happy and I thought smoking would make me even happier. That's a nasty little nicotine/habit trick isn't it? Took me a couple of hours willing myself not to buy. That was my toughest moment yet but I came through it. It's only later when you are still smoke free that you pat yourself on the back for having the strength. Good stuff.

Well done for getting through it. At that point in time it's like a tug of war but we just need to hold on right and we will win the fight.

Think most of us have had this with me it was after ironing which I hate so I would normally have treat myself to a wine and a cig after doing it. It took a while before I stopped associating ironing with a cig. Well done for resisting your too far into your quit now to cave in. Keep strong

Melsamoo...I called it the wrath of the nicodemon...Just about two weeks ago I had a major Irrigation project and changed pumps and pipes...As a Smoker after completion I usually would sat back and enjoy a cigarette after completion..When finished after a long days work I reached for my top pocket to light up and was really looking forward to light up when I realised that I did not smoke for the past 25 months and never want to smoke again..!!

I felt awful yesterday my chest was so tight it was unreal. It had been feeling pretty good till then I really didnt like it. Another reason to add to the not to smoke list its getting rather long . I never want to have to go through all this again. I sat next to someone yesterday that has just had a cig. I thought I was going to be sick it was disgusting i had to move.
