Day 7 on Champix

Hi well I am on day 7 of champix not really feeling anything different I am still smoking the same amout as always What is goung on ? Will I notice a difference tomorrow when I start the stronger pills?

Good to hear from you Fireit - as advised in your first post a few days ago below, champix is not the magic pill - I quit cold turkey so have no experience in champix but I believe it just takes the edge of the physical symptoms but you still have to fight through the mental battle and be in the right and strong mindset to fight - see Hercu 's reply to you as he explains it better than me (sorry!)

Fireit...Every person will react different to Champix....I am sure you accepted the fact that Champix is not the magic pill that makes people stop smoking and therefore your experience that nothing happened....Don't wait for something to happen, make it happen...you must reduce your normal smoking and Champix will help you with the cravings in between...!!!

The full dose might begin to help by making a cigarette taste bad... but won't make you stop....You must stop !!!!

Hi there im on day 11 of champix do u feel nauseous throughout the day i did then on day 8 i was physically sick twice but later at night day 9 was my 1st free of smoke day and it went really well day 10 has been my hardest day so far no smoke but thought about it alot just kept myself busy and stocked up on loads of fresh fruit n veg for snacking one thing i will say tho the nauseous feeling i had all the time in my belly has gone im still taking my tablets but feel fine with them u are on the right track but from someone who is on the same road just a couple of steps infront of u its hard going but will be worth it i jave also got myself a terimundi jar and putting half of the money i would spend on fags in it per week a wee bonus to work towards x
