Hey everyone.. Well its been 42 days no cigs. I've gained some weight now which I hate. I've been walking some but honestly I just want to lose the weight I gained. Next wk I'm going to work harder on eating healthier so I don't gain anymore. I don't need to gain anymore. Part of me wants to start up smoking again but I've come to far. Any advice

Hey Gatorrulz78 , huge congratulations on 42 days smoke free, almost at your first 50 milestone, be proud of yourself!

With regards any weight gain, please don't worry about it at the moment, you will have plenty of time of sort it out when you are stronger in your quit, EVERYONE gains some amount of weight when they quit. Your priority is not to light up that cigarette ever again.

My savior was my water juicer bottle - great to deal with cravings to take a slug of it with whatever fruit you like to add flavor, I chopped up a few slices of cucumber, lemon and mint and topped up with cold water throughout the day, very refreshing and started a trend at work too with it :O When you are strong enough in your quit you can start to eat healthier but try not to worry about it at the moment, quitting is a remarkable achievement and so much better than putting on weight short term

hi Gatorrulz78

you have come a long way. 😁

you can do this 😁

don't stress too much about weight ,one healthy battle is enough.(stoping smoking battle )

you can do the "slim" battle later.

just enjoy being smoke free and know you have made a great choice to stop.

take care 😊

keep kicking 😎

I had the same problem. Once I decided it was time to lose the weight I posted on here weekly to report any weight loss, mainly to make myself accountable. It gave me more of an incentive to lose the weight. Maybe do the same? It worked for me anyway....

Gator well done...Weight gain is one of the nice side affects of quitting and the best thing is, it is curable..Other than damaged lungs...

Soon you can start to exercise and loose that extra little weight...

Once again well done on the almost fifty days...!!

The weight will eventually go away. The most important thing is to continue your quit.

Its 47 days today. I lost count actually. I don't think about it as much but I know that I've gained some weight. Mentally I still want a CIG but I refuse to buy a pack. I need to get focused on losing some weight though but I know it will be a struggle as well. I'm fine during the day its when I get home and my kids stress me out. Then I got some other news that stressed me out but I know the good Lord will provide. How are things on your end? Ty for asking how I'm doing
