I'm starting to think I was never 'addicted' as such, just bored and out of bad influences around me. My no smoking journey has been pretty...easy?!?! I've started to be a little emotional the past few days though, nothing major but happy tears and random tears over silly stuff; can laugh about it now but seriously πππ can only think its due to quttting smoking but I have seen this happen to others on here!

Long may it last! If you continue to find it pretty easy then that's great - don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I have a friend who smoked from 16 years old, stopped when he was 41 and that was it - no cravings, no mood swings, no desire ever to smoke again! He's now 50 and is exactly the same...he just doesn't have any desire to smoke and hasn't experienced a single craving in five years. I hate him!
Seriously though, well done on getting to day twenty and I hope the rest of it goes just as well.
thats great jjbabes i felt similar after the first week or two just basically on such a high from giving up full of energy and confidence about not smoking and becomming healthier but now comming on 5 weeks quit cold turkey i just feel tired all the time especially the mornings, very frustraiting, just gonna have to battle on i suppose it can only get better
Hey, well done, and refreshing to know quitting the evil weed is going quite smoothly, don't worry to much, about being a little emotional, it's quite normal.
Ah great to read an update from you jjbabes and that your quit is continuing to go well for you as in your first post which I would recommend referring back to the responses just to keep you on track in case Mr Nico pulls up the complacency trap on you
You are doing so well and have a great attitude. The mixed emotions are perfectly normal as your brain continues its re-wiring from the damage done. Bit of exercise to clear the head will help with that. Keep in touch
Hey Ldanilovics I know quite a few that found it relatively easy to quit, think it has alot to do with what sort of smoker you were - for me it was my crutch and mask that I hid behind and believed that smoking would get me through anything....
Yeah, very common feeling Ldanilovics , it will pass and the bad cravings too, my mental mantra was the bad cravings and withdrawal won't kill me but continuing to smoke may very well do so. Wishing you strength, you CAN do this, post anytime you need to and mark it SOS if struggling really bad
