only 3 hours: how to survive??? only 3 hours... - No Smoking Day
only 3 hours
Hey arus , congratulations on making the best decision of your life, it really is!
Nobody ever regrets quitting, you are at the chronic stage of withdrawal and will have these for the next 3 days if doing it cold turkey.
Please read below pinned posts, get a supply of water / fruit juice and do up a plan to keep yourself busy for the next 2 weeks. I promise, you can do this but it needs focus, determination and 100% desire to quit. Stay close to us here, we will help you through this.

Morning arus , how are you getting on today?
hello dear RoisinO1! let me tell you, it's been and still is a horrible feeling. I have so much cravings and I didn't talk so much today,
A quite day so to say.
Roisin pointed you to some very helpful reading. It seems daunting to everyone when they first quit. But many people on this site are proof that it is a good decision.
Lol had that same trip after one hour , just ensure that your ready for this journey as a none smoker : it's mega hard for the first two week hurdle but it will ease off with the smokers temptation, you have to want it , like I want to eat tonnes of chocolate lol I'm heading for my 3rd month, still have that ping in my head but not as hard as it was when I first started , but you can do it as many have , keep focus on wanting your goal and don't let your mind think you want one πͺπͺgood luck
Thanks for the advice Telboy61!
Hopefully you never light one in your life again. As for me, I am surviving the first day and I already feel like boredoom hit me but am pretty sure is gonna go away with time. πππ
morning arus
what is it now 15 hours.your first big step.
soon ir will be 25 then your 1 day time will pass and you'll be 1 week.
you can do this.don't think of stopping try not to think about what you would normally do think of what you can do smoke free.a new lease of life.
keep busy.
take care π
keep kicking π
Remember it isn't quitting smoking that has made you feel like this, it is the damage that smoking has done to you!
Hang in there, it does get better
Well done on making the decision to quit and getting to this stage. Your body is starting its recovery process. Keep at it because it is worth it. In a few days your sense of smell will come back which is one part I loved but found strange in a way too.
The people on this site are fantastic and supportive so just post when you need to.
Good luck
