Hi everyone, today was harder than the others because I was in school today, and I had to see people smoking ect..it's really annoying how when you smoke you feel horrible but your brain likes to manipulate you into thinking you miss smoking, when you don't. Hope you are all doing well!

hi lauravm good to hear from you,

yeah i completely understand where your comming from its the horrible nature of cigarette smoking, we know how horrible they are! but thankfully with time that becomes much easier to see, the truth is we just dont need cigarettes to be happy :) wishing you good days ahead.

Well done Lauravm - nicotine if cold turkey will be out of your system by end of today. The mental battle now begins so be ready to attack at all times :)

Yes cold turkey, but considering buying a vape with 0% nicotine, just for when I'm at home.? But yeah thank you!

I would suggest not getting the vape even though 0% as would be like going backwards - you have almost 3 days cold turkey over you, which is a great achievement, YOU CAN DO THIS!! Have faith in yourself but if you feel your quit is in danger, get the vape - I quit cold turkey 18 months ago and never looked back, it was a very bumpy road at times but remained strong and attacked - the rough times do pass quickly though and are definitely outweighed by the good times, I promise :)

Indeed that is very true, in a brief post you have described exactly what a addiction is. We know in our hearts smoking is not good, but we are addicted to that substance, but with time and determination our addictions can be beaten.

Your doing amazingly well.

So a huge well done.

Keep posting and reading.

Above all else just keep going. You've done three days, so you can do four

Looking forward to future posts,

Good or bad

I know exactly what you mean - but three days is a massive achievement. Keep strong - those first days are so hard but it really does get easier. Stick with it
