Forgive me, this may seem crude and the moderator may well intervene, but we're all grown-ups and it's well intended! Really sorry if it offends...
But a friend of mine asked how my not smoking is going. I told her I'd still really quite like to from time to time, but then again I'd quite like to sleep with Megan Fox too, and I'm absolutely sure that's not going to happen either!
But it did make me think a bit, and prompted my post.
It's been a few days now since I last posted about my quit experience and quite a few things have happened:
We've had the worst (or for those of us with young kids...the BEST!!) snow for years;
Idiot Cameron has tried to bribe his way into another term with the promise of a referendum on Europe;
Two fully deserving teams will contest the league cup final - halleluja for that;
Many more events that are interesting to me, less interesting to others.
So here's the difference for me - I've realised now that not smoking isn't an event. But looking back to last month it was, for me, and all the time. Every craving, every wake up call, every sleepless night, every irritable outburst...all events. Which come and go.
Sleeping with Megan Fox would be one hell of an event, but not sleeping with her is part of my way of life, and it's never gonna happen and that's really fine by me.
A bit like not smoking really!
I've actually noticed the money now, and booked a family holiday for the end of May - yippeeeee! Keep going all, you're doing great but I've noticed a few of the Christmas Conquerors are conspicuous by their absence, hope they're ok.....:confused:
