Morning all just thought I would check in...

Sorry for not posting have been a bit busy and a bit feed up, however I have been having a quick look at all your posts well done to you all!!!!

Im on day 28 tomorrow so will be joining the in between group post lol.

Have been having the voices in my head telling me to smoke they are really weird, dont you think? where the hell do they come from, but i will not give into them..lol.

I got my appointment for my hip replacement operation on Friday was a bit of a shock :eek: as when i saw the consultant on the 3rd April he told me about 5 months, the appointment is for the 28th May so not that long lol...He has told me its not a straight forward hip op and have got to have a CT scan on Tuesday to be measured up for my new hip as I cant have one off the shelf so to speak. So get me!! designer hip lol...Bit worried about it but needs to done as I am in constant pain and its really getting me down.

Well at least I could put non smoker on my pre op form, but they do ask if you have ever smoked and when you quit.

Well keep up the good all of you and will try to be a bit more active as i think Dotdot is missing all us March Hares..xx

Your recovery will be much easier as a non smoker and also you'll not be panicking about not getting a fag when your in hospital!

Pll86 thanks have been told hip is suppose to be easier than knee touble is i need my knee doing too lol, im falling to bits!!

Dotdot can you read my mind lol, thats one of my reasons for quitting as I was panicking about not being able to have a fag when in hospital, not about the pain or recovery just a bloody fag how bad is that!!

Now funny you should say this about only bein wurried coz ya cant have a smoke lol, i could have wrote this T, im gonna be havin an op myself sometime in May and thats what is keeping me goin thinkin at least i wont be stressing over when i can get outside the hospital for a ciggie haha , good luck with your op , :)xx

You wont look back after your op. My ex had his done last year and it was a fantastic success, he was in constant pain before the op. Now he has no pain and is walking great!

on hips ..

also, a lady who was in hospital at the same time as my mum who fell down the stairs on Boxing Day breaking both her left shoulder and right arm, said she had been waiting for ages for her hip op which went very smoothly .. she was up walking about the next day with a huge smile saying it was heaven!

My big brother had his hip done and he said the first thing he noticed when he woke up after the op was that he had no pain for the first time in two years. He was up and about in no time.

Don't forget us non smoker are strong and get over things quickly. You will be so pleased afterwards and a non smoker

OH fanks Suze and Haze.:D..lots of people have told me positive things about the op it makes me feel loads better...cant wait now even a little excited... was just a bit worried that it come around so quickly and mine is not a straight forward one cause I is special..lol..:D
