well i finally made it to 1 whole month of not smoking a single fag!!!
i can believe i am here really, this time 4 weeks ago I would never had thought i would be here now, so well done me and all you other non smoking ppl
there has been lots of ups n down along the way and im no way near out of the woods yet, but i cant even remember what it feels like to smoke, im so happy i made that choice to give up whenb I did! i used the 21mg patche for 2 week, then then middle one 14mg and tomorow going into week 5 i am starting the lowest patch to be honest i havent really felt the change down in the lower patch so i think i hav e been lucky so far with that
Only down side I have put on half a stone in the past 4 weeks the eating has not slowed at all, it seems to be getting worse, so i need to keep an eye on that
anyway just thought i wud update and say well done to everyone, what ever stage of your quit you are at, you are doing brilliantly so keep up the good work

Conrats on the 1 months, hard to believe isn't it and I know what you mean about remembering what it's like to smoke, let's not bother finding out though eh.
Ditto on the half stone, but I seem to have stabilised and haven't gone over the half, and clothes still fit so what the hell, enjoy if for now, it's too soon in my quit to be thinking about losing weight!
Here's to a smoke free 2nd month, let's hope it's a good one.
Kate, I'm nearly 10 pounds heavier than when I stopped. Or what I think I was when I stopped, anyway.
I have found, however, that my weight has leveled out now and I'm not gaining or losing any weight. That will probably continue to be the case, whilst the new trainers and trackie bottoms I bought sit un-opened in their respective packaging.
Re the weight thing, way I see it is I can run further in the gym now so the extra troughing is counter-balanced by extra working out. I appreciate not everyone is inspired by the idea of the gym but it does help.
Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum but wanted to say Well done ... I truly know what you have been going through!! It is my 4 week anniversary today (and the 4 week birthday of my extra tummy rolls ha ha!) My little slim tummy is no more - I will take up running again soon but Hey I am not going to give myself too muh of a hard time about a little weight gain after all I have been through these past four weeks!!! (As long as i am slim and still smoke free for the summer then whoopie!!).
The summer .. argh .. there is a challenge I have some trepidation over ... first holiday not smoking; I am hoping cigs will be a distant memory by then? fat chance .. .i seem to be having every withdrawl symptom going - the latest over the past few days is impending doom and gloom boo hoo!
Oh well, a few pancakes and a glass of wine tonight will hopefully cheer me up.
Let's hope we will all be on here at week 8 - WELL DONE GUYS
