I just wanted to announce that after a very painful operation this morning, I have had my head surgically removed from my backside AND when I walked into the office this morning there was my sense of humour sat on my desk (it has been missing for weeks).
The staff have now taken their body armour and tin hats off and I even managed to kiss my husband good-bye this morning which is the first bit of affection that poor man has seen in weeks!!
I know I will probably have a relapse at some stage but I do feel a whole lot better in myself going into my forth week. Thanks for all your support and wine donations (keep them coming though). Hope you are all bright and happy today too. Group hug:rolleyes:
xx Christine xx

Oh, it seems like only yesterday you were all excited about getting your Champix and now look at you.
Well done, my dear. Anyone starting out should read some of your posts. You always had a positive attitude and kept your sense of humour (even if you might think it was a bit hidden on some days).
Jack - you're in our group. Go over to Social Groups (via Quick Links) and join in. I've tried to keep the sig list up to date in there.
The same thing happened to me a few days ago - I only noticed when OH said - "Wow, it's like I'm actually talking to YOU again and not Rosie!" (Rosie is my miserable grumpy cat, OH has always been paranoid that she hates him....)
Have a hug and a large glass of Baileys on me! (Well it's not REAL Baileys, it's Irish Meadow - tastes the same though, especially after several large glasses....)
Not only do you come in here and nick all my wine but thats where my sence of humour has gone......
I have pretty much sailed through these last FOUR (wayhay) weeks being a perfect little ray of sunshine always smiling always happy...BUT the past few days have turned me into Godzilla  Stressed is not the word for it....one minute mad as hell and the next in tears...not happy at all, and the hot flushes are killing me (HRT thingy sorry guys)
So please please please can I have my good humour back....I will swap for a large bottle of Merlot and box of After Eights
Lorna, oh I so understand the hot flush thing. Have you tried Sage tea?? Helps especially if night flushes are bad. However mine are so much better since giving up smoking.
However I know people may disagree but I think Champix plays around with hormones and I'm looking forward to stopping that.
Sorry you have been down and I am sending your back your sense of humour (sorry lost mine so I stole yours:o). Merlot my love is the cure for everything.
However I will let you in to a secret, I'm on the wagon for two weeks!!, don't tell anyone!! (Had to many nights out so DH and I thought we would give our livers a rest).

Take care
Cheers Christine....this has all really helped this eveing. Between us I very seldom drink as OH is tea total. Have a bottle on a Sunday....the small individual bottles, But here I am a virtual alcoholic...
My flushes are a nightmare especially at night. Use HRT patches...need to as full menopause due to surgery 3 yrs ago and I am too young (at 47 it is good to say I am too young for something) The Champix is defo interfering with it. Will try the sage tea...thanks for tip.
Well I'm 42 (god life is so hard!!!). I also find Vitimin B (called Mega B) very good. Avoid wine and spicy food (let's just shoot us!!). This may help you.
